So the people having problems just aren't doing it right?
Telegram users are losing ability to boot custom ROMs after trying beta Pie, rolling back to Oreo via KDZ, reflashing TWRP
exactly, I returned to oreo, and could not unlock the bootloader and root it, could not install a custom rom :good:
You flash back to US998 V20a/V20b and make unlock bootloader again yet?

People are same in every country: some are opportunistic, some are good Samaritans, some are neutral
@PjLyTam, what version Oero firmware did you return to? Specifically, what variant and what security patch date? Pre-July 2018 with fastboot flash commands? You can't bootloader unlock anything after that. But once bootloader unlocked then you can update to current Oreo firmware.

So, they CAN bootloader unlock and root, but for some reason AOSP/Lineage custom ROMs are not booting -- just like with the H931/H933 problem? For those there is a workaround to get custom ROMs to boot, but involves lots of reformatting, reinstalling firmware.

Im already get pie beta last 3 month ago just apply for beta tester for korean only in any of the telco

It took me 3 SLOW WHOLE DAYS to download this from the only working link i could find, some weird chinese website
I wonder why no one is re-uploading such important links

how to Update Android 9 Pie LG V30 G6 V20 via FOTA Update file
You must select correct FOTA file .up for Your phone model running lasted Android Version
* Prepair :
- install LGUP_Common_DLL_Ver_1_0_28_5.msi, LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi and lasted LG driver

Then you download "LGUP+V30DLL_PATCHED.zip" file and unrar.
Copy all file after unrar to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP
Connect device and run LGUP.exe >
- You must install file LGUP_Common_DLL_Ver_1_0_28_5.msi if not LG UP stuck 4% show :" Error 0x2000, Fail!. MTP is not running."
- connect the phone with PC enable USB debugging (check Always allow from this computer) To enable developer settings: Go to settings > general > about phone > software info - Now tap "build number" until you see the "you are a developer" message

* Process :

< dont connect the phone with PC via Download Mode/Firmware Update mode>
- press Start button and wait the Phone auto process Update
if You need downgrade to Android 8.0.0 Oreo from Android 9 Pie Beta use LG UP Dev Patched :
choose Proccess : PARTITION DL or REFURBISH

Restoring all may wipe your IMEI54I give up))) i tried a lot but my US99820h can up to 28a,its still stuck at LG thinQ logo.
Dont update US998 to pie beta, a lot of thing are broken in this beta for US998, the phone is slow, RAM management is bad (apps were forced close frequently), battery sucks, some apps like Wallpaper and Themes is broken (forced crash everytime I try to open).
I know this is a beta version, but it seem like this is the very early beta of V30 (as in earlier than beta builds for other models like H930) so it's very unstable, not for everyday usage. I've downgraded my phone back to 20h for now
