Excellent rom. Smooth and everything work fine exept two things.
Spotify wont start. Force Close during startup.
Call forward wont work. Tells me to start radio app?

Thanks /Joakim

I tested it and also have spotify crash when starting the app. Will try to find out why.
With call forwarding everything is fine here.

The official Samsung ROM is 4.4.4 and more and more apps are now not compatible.
A shame. I will not put to trash a working phone. It is bad for the planet.

Thanks for the ROM, I will test it soon.
I need the IR for remote control of Air Cooling and remote control of devices, even for TV in hotel's rooms.
And the FM radio is very usefull.

I don't know any new models with IR and FMradio.

Thank you

Thanks for the new image

New Update PixelExperience_android-9.0.0_r44 on the first page.

- July 2019 security patch
- Spotify, Twitter force close fixed
- Proximity sensor fixed

I was trying this ROM as well as the LineageOS ROM by Danil_e71. Currently I prefer the Pixel variant here (due to the Phone App's behaviour at incoming calls).

When I read about the fixed problems with Spotify, it ringed a bell in me - so I thought I'll give it a try. There were threee other apps which did not work (crash at startup) for me yet:
- maps.me
- maps
- Fritz!App Fon

Collateral Damage: ;) All of these run smoothely now! Thank you, mernurisha, for the great work,

Jens

Thank you for your work, it is a great release.

Hi

I've noticed that there is no option to modify the default flashy colors (saturated colors) in order to get natural color, the same natural color result we had under Samsung stock ROM setting the color calibration option below:
aLjbVMg.png

After some search I've read there has been an update to Pixel in order to add option for color calibration:

https://www.xda-developers.com/custom-saturation-level-google-pixel-2/ said:
new color modes in the November security update. Thanks to this update, though, we can take advantage of the methods introduced to set a custom saturation level for our devices.
With the November security update for the Google Pixel 2/2 XL, three new color modes were added: Natural, Boosted, and Saturated. According to the commit that adds these color modes, Natural is sRGB, Boosted is sRGB + 10% saturation, and Saturated is unmanaged colors.

Description of these options (display settings menu) is given by Google here:

https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/6111557?hl=en said:
Colors (Pixel 3a, 3 & 2 only)
Natural: See the most accurate colors.
Boosted: See accurate colors with more vividness. This is on by default for Pixel 2.
Adaptive (Pixel 3a & 3 only): See the most vivid colors and keep color details. This is on by default for Pixel 3.
Saturated (Pixel 2 only): See the most vivid colors.

Instead of the above options, PixelExperience_serranovelte-9.0-20190714-1041-UNOFFICIAL has a builtin basic display setting for changing only Red, Green and Blue levels.

Is there anything I can do to modifiy the color saturation or gamma like we did on genuine Samsung stock ROM or like on the Google Pixel ?
Thank you !

Saturated colors - in AOSP roms? I think that is a stock rom feature.
LineageOS 16 has a LiveDisplay feature. I do not know which features are included. I will build ( to test) a LineageOS 16 rom with LiveDisplay to see how it works.
Otherwise you have to install an additional app for color saturation.

best regards

Hi Guys. Here is the link to my LineageOS-16 rom with LiveDisplay. If anyone wants to test this.
I think everything works.

Thank you, I'll test it tonight and let you know.

On my side I've found a kernel patch called KCAL for Advanced color control that is supposed to work on the Qualcomm 8916 ( model inside the serranovelte )
This add the ability to modify all color settings through /sys/devices/platform/kcal_ctrl.0 files
OR using an app like EX Kernel Manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.exkernelmanager

KCAL patch link is https://xdaforums.com/android/software-hacking/dev-kcal-advanced-color-control-t3032080
The page also contains 2 youtube video that are showing what is the result of saturation color configuration on the output (which is very different effect than only modifying Red-Green-Blue components)

I've tried to go around and find some app that can modify saturation color, but as this kind of configuration is tied to the hardware, the app must handle the hardware and device has to be rooted.

I'll search further and let you know if I find other solutions.

Thank you anyway.

Thanks for your effort.
I'll try to add this Patch in our kernel, let's see how good is this.
Will report later.
