Well, I don't think you can take off/bypass the splash1 completely. You could replace it with a black/blank screen, though.
but previously it wasnt like that; until i flashed with the splash1 i got from this thread #897
so i had this guys splash1 and then the roms bootscreen. now i have cyangenMod and the splash1 still shows followed by the default CyanogenMod bootanimation.
