It matters what version android we're talking about. Stack Overflow link discusses a couple of different ways.

if you're running a newer version of Android/kernel that location has changed as mentioned further down the linked thread).
So if that file doesn't exist then use:
cat /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops-0

Note that the files won't exist unless you had a kernel panic causing an unexpected shutdown.

If you're rooted with Magisk the linked post contains a Magisk Module which will automatically retrieve the ramoops file and copy it to /sdcard

If you're creating last_kmsg instead then you'll have to modify the service.sh script. Exact location is in the post.
