Thx for your update (your app is for me the "one and only youtube app"; tried some other ones long time ago).
But could it be that yt changed something in the last time?
Search and download yt content still works well, but for the most of the yt content preview doesn't work anymore.
How can this be splved/fixed?
Keep going your great work !

Hello, thanks.
The preview is not working (most of the times) because they removed the stream used by the app to display it.
I have to find an alternative; low definition streams are over, so I may switch to a video-only stream (warning the user).

Everything working fine, but recently there have been "Unknown" video formats appearing at the top of the format list. They appear to be low resolution video-only streams. Perhaps something to investigate at the point when the app next needs to be updated. Thanks.
