Some apps does not work on Pixel?

Hello, I am using Aurora Store on my Pixel 3a, with the stock ROM.
It is normal that some it can't update some apps like Android System WebView (app not compatible it says) and other apps like "sounds", Connectivity Health Service and others?

Thanks

Webview issue I also observed on a Galaxy Note 9 with Stock ROM. Webview is built for different architectures (arm, arm64, x86, ...) and maybe(?) Aurora simply suggests the highest internal version number as upgrade, whilst in fact also some device dependent stuff is coded within that number as well?
Anyway, on Stock at least, you can temporarily enable the genuine play store, which allows upgrading system components even without providing your Google account.

wow it works, i don't know it's possible to update system components without providing Google account on Play Store.
Thanks! :)

[Bug] Aurora app store shows apps installed in other user profiles

I've installed Aurora app store in profile 999 (parallel apps profile on OnePlus phones) but it shows apps installed in user profile 0 (default user profile). So I'm not able to download apps to profile 999 which have been downloaded in profile 0. This needs to be fixed.

More doubts...
Does Gmail, Meet, Maps and other Google's apps work if downloaded using Aurora Store?
If so, does my google account risk being blocked if I sign in into each app individually?

Thanks.
There are different things to be looked at:
The Huawei P40 comes without the G* spy services. Hence apps truly relying on them won't work (properly).
This is not a question of how they have been downloaded. But many popular apps don't need the G* spy services to run (search the net on your own, there are also quite informative articles about Huawei device w/o Google stuff and how to use popular apps).
But I can tell you that most Google apps won't work, as they usually deeply integrate with the G* spy services, especially if they use you G* account).

The question however is, what you really need:
Gmail: You can enable regular e-mail standards for your account (via web access) and then use any e-mail app to access GMail, for Maps (which could even work without the G* services, I don't know), you could consider instead Magic Earth, OSMAnd~ (from F-Droid) or Mapy.cz - instead of the YouTube app, use e.g. NewPipe (also F-Droid) etc.

Version 3.2.1 is the last version 100% working with Google login. Version 3.2.8 only works temporarily after first login.

EDIT: For me, and some others it is still broken. For others it is working.

Always broken after a while for me. Using 3.2.8 at present.

It happens no matter where I download the apk from. Auroradroid, Fdroid, direct from Gitlab, Microg.

The only solution I have is that I delete the data, and start again, which is really annoying, especially if my eyes are giving me trouble, having to go to light mode.

Aurora shows above the "Install" button if the app is GSF dependant or not

That is correct. I should have mentioned it - however, the GSF dependency can have different aspects: Some apps would refuse to launch w/o them giving an error, some others are designed to check, whether GSF are present and use them, but also work without and use alternative methods (e.g. Signal messenger or Whatsapp) or simply don't use them (e.g. News apps or e.g. Netflix, where GSF is only used to annoy their users with unnecessary push messages)

Apologies if this has been asked before but, is delta updates still a feature in this project or has it been replaced by the normal installation?

After selecting which available app updates to download Aurora downloads them in sequence. As each finishes downloading a popup appears for each asking if I wish to install the update.

Is there a way to avoid this individual request to install? I mean when an available app update is selected, selecting it for download should mean 'download and install'.

I looked in Aurora's settings but am not sure which setting to enable to do this.

Depends on the chosen install method, which itself depends on the specific situation of your device. If you use and enable AuroraServices or Root install method, this popup won't appear.
If you run the default method (e.g. because you are on Stock ROM, where you don't have any other option, but allowing "unknown sources" to Aurora), then the Android package manager is finally called to perform the app install. The popup in fact comes from the Package Manager and not from Aurora - and this popup is necessary for safety reasons, as otherwise any shady app with granted rights for "unknown sources" could attempt to install apps by calling the PM without user interaction.

Thank you for the explanation.
My phone is rooted stock android 9. Is it safe to give Aurora root privileges? What do you do on your phone?

I use AuroraServices and its corresponding install method.
As you are on Stock (even if rooted), AuroraServices most probably is not applicable for you. Whether you want to use the root method or not is up to you, I am not the Dev of Aurora and I haven't carefully checked its source code, but I tend to say that should be OK. If the popups annoy you that much, go for it. On the other hand, the classic method via Android PM is not wrong, and all the fuzz about allowing "unknown sources" being "dangerous" is just BS.

Thank you.
Could you explain how to use Aurora services? How is it different from allowing Aurora root.

What rom do you use?

(The annoyance with the popups is just that if there is a long list of updates, it can be time consuming to have to wait till each in turn downloads and the package manager then sends its popup alert for each one. Kind of makes it 'difficult' to do anything else till they have all finished. And occasionally, a couple of app updates do download for which the package manager's popup did not appear. So they may remain uninstalled unless I recheck the list).

grrr v4.4.3 removed the custom download folder option.
    Is it gone for ever?
Nope, it will be back in future versions, probably 4.6 or something. It needs a bit of work to work properly as expected.

Did the new Aurora store client remove the ability to download multiple app updates in parallel? I've noticed the selector is gone and apps only download and install one at a time, greatly slowing the process down from how fast Aurora used to update many apps.

Also it seems if there is a paid app with an update in the list the whole update operation fails until you skip that one app update.
Yes. The option was implemented using a four-year-old third-party library which was dropped as a result this feature was dropped as well.

are updates will be available in fdroid later?
also when it happens do i understand correctly that i have to reinstall the app again?
F-Droid is the recommended source so yes. All updates for Aurora Store will be available in F-Droid and no, you don't need to reinstall app again for updating.
