Thanx a lot for the ROM. Everything works great and smooth. But the market doesn't show all apps, even the one i payed for. So i made an update zip with fixed built.prop to unlock the market. The zip is not signed, so disable sign verification.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but my keyboard is still chinese... So i just re-added LatinIME and etc and removed Pinyin, seemed to do the trick for me. Other then that this Rom worked flawlessly

yeah for some reason the rom will and up in a boot loop (first boot only) when LatinIME is in the rom instead of Pinyin, personally I use Swype

BTW you can switch to Latin chars via a button on the keyboard

I must try this!

I really hope this rom lives up the the expectations I've come to have since I first heard about it... I'm gonna test it tonight - and hopefully the expectations will be well met!
Put before any of that - thank you to the devs for making this rom possible! Keep it up and you might have a GRAND SLAM on your hands here!

tis a good rom. only bad thing i can see so far is the dialler. if you type in names it doesnt work =[

I am testing it right now. Currently everything is working cool and i will keep it on my desire if there will be no problems (i only had problem with marketfix version: bootloop).

    New file manager with FTP service is the thing that "made" me cook a new version before 2011 :eek:
    I'm really loving that feature..no need to install additional software and MIUI File Manager is more than enough for quick file actions.. frequent USB mounting will be history for me from now on :)

    There was a lot to translate but here it is... everything should be working fine (and more than that)...also, everything is in English

    Please keep two things in mind:
    1. This is a full ROM, not an update
    2. Clean install preferred

    Installation instruction for best results:
    1. YOU NEED AN EXT PARTITION FOR THIS ROM!!!
    2. Backup your apps..if you had previous MIUI version, use their backup tool
    3. Boot into clockworks recovery and do a full cleanup (i always do data/factory reset - dalvik - ext+ format)
    4. Install ROM
    5. Enoy :cool:


    Works best with (IMHO):

Don't have time for online translations (tried that). Sometimes (like in these last two versions) you have to dig a little bit deeper if you want to find some embedded chinese signs and that's a pain in the ass

    MIUI 1.1.7 English Deodexed

    Ummmm, yeah. 1.1.7 and stuff :D

    This time without icon changes and wallpapers....c l e a n :p

    I'll create a theme...maybe :D

    Please keep these things in mind:
    1. This is a full ROM, not an update
    2. Clean install preferred (wipe all)
    3. English is "hardcoded" and it will stay english, no matter what locale you set
    4. This is the FINAL release for eMIUI 1.1.7...there will be no more changes

    Installation instruction for best results:
    1. YOU NEED AN EXT PARTITION FOR THIS ROM!!!
    2. Backup your apps..if you had previous MIUI version, use their backup tool
    3. Boot into clockworks recovery and do a full cleanup (i always do data/factory reset - dalvik - ext+ format)
    4. Flash eMIUI
    5. Flash Dalvik2SD or Dalvik2Cache (N1 table S-OFF users), so you don't have to do it manually through the terminal
    6. Wait a few minutes after the first reboot, it takes some time for the phone to do all the necessary things
    7. reboot the phone again before you start using it
    8. Enjoy :cool:

    So, i guess i have an apprentice now and my monthly releases are becoming all but monthly :D
