10/18/2010 - minor update, APN list updated to match from CM6, WIFI should be working out of the box now.

A FULL WIPE IS REQUIRED. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO SO WITH FASTBOOT APPLY BELOW ZIP BEFORE FLASHING THE ROM, IF YOU BOOTLOOP, WIPE AGAIN AND REPEAT, IT'S NOT MY ROM, IT'S YOUR PHONE.
wipe /data /cache /system
mirror

Other Prerequisites:
You must have a custom recovery image installed.
There is no SPL requirement, but Radio requirements are the same as if you were installing CyanogenMod 5 or 6. if you have a 2x or 3x radio dont mess with it. you're fine. in fact. NEVER mess with your radio/spl unless an expert tells you to.

One More time for clarity, if you can install CM5/6 you can install this rom as well, if not. it probably wont boot. CM6 Radio/SPL requirements stand.

T-Mobile USA 32B Froyo FRG83 (recommended for mt3g, should work with G1 just fine)

No Radio or SPL change required, if you are running CM6 and want to test it out, just nandroid, WIPE and flash away.

What you will get:

T-Mobile applications, latest gapps etc.. HSDPA ril, ROOT, Busybox, USB Tethering (as well as wifi tethering support with the usual app)
Non-Glitchy Gallery and Market
Full CM6 APN List
Bluetooth (at least on my MT3G)
WIFI
Firerat's APPS2EXT will work fine for you G1 users, as well as swap. Looking into possible issues with apps2ext

and more...

What you won't get:

JIT - It is off by default and breaks several of the apps in the tmobile package. This sucker is pretty fast without it.
ADW - Launcher2 is default, live with it.
User interface tweaks/ CM Settings
Live Wallpapers
Spare Parts (search the market)
And others...

32A - Flash Stable CM6 bcrook kernel or latest
Mytouch 1.2/Fender LE Current CM6 Kernels contain zinx verituse's patches so no kernel change is required.
G1 DangerSPL or equivalent

I'm a total CM fanboy, and eagerly await 6.1, but T-Mobile and Google have impressed me with this.

TMUS-32B-Froyo-CMRemix - SendSpace
-or-
TMUS-32B-Froyo-CMRemix - Mediafire

If you receive an OTA message please post a logcat.

CM6 Kernels, no new radio requirement (CM6 compatible radios work fine), no new spl requirement (DangerSPL or equivalent required for G1) Original T-Mo/Google Libs/Framework, cm6 libs and shell still intact.

and yes i go by a different name at the CM forum.

this image was the first i flashed since i saw it on CM forum. for some reason this is more responsive than the other two i've tested. great job on the speed and responsiveness of this version.

I did have to flash the oc614 kernel (stated on CM forum) to get wifi working. but after that, rom it's a treat!

thank you!

just a small request. could you include the spare parts from cm builds(i know there is one in market but it has less options) in a no wipe update along with wireless and wired tether.

thank you.

Right? Also, can some post a link to the oc614 kernal? Im unsure of which one it is.

I just flashed this rom. Nothing else. Using clockwork recovery. Once it booted and I saw the wifi issue I installed the pershoot kernel, and now I have wifi. SO....

  1. boot to recovery
  2. Run update from first post
  3. download one of the kernels, (I like pershoot)
  4. run that update
  5. reboot, and enjoy!

yes i dont really understand where you saw the install cm6 step, you must not have read the OP properly.

just install the rom itself just like any other rom in the past.

at the op another request. could you include apn list and local settings from cm6 please would really be great-full and im sure many others would also.

thanks in advance.

Are you talking to me? If so, in the op it says " if your running cm6..". I'm just making sure, as I gave this phone to my dad and do not want to brick it.

    RE: Let's see

    kevinnguyen84,

Replaced build.prop (when running this ROM) with attached and still downloaded the OTA after reboot.

Flashed back over to CM 6.1.0-DS pending a found fix and interestingly, CM's ROM also has the same issue (CM logcat attached.)

What was changed in the build.prop you posted?

    Regards,
    Kevin K.

    Hi Kevin,

There were multiple things that I did to figure out that it was the OTA updates that was using up my data plan. Here were the steps I took to get to build.prop.

    First,
If you have ADB or Terminal
    cd to cache/
if you see "687ff5575808.signed-opal-ota-75603.687ff557.zip" delete it

    Second,
Open your dialer and dial these exact numbers
    Dial *#*#4636#*#*
    Click Usage Statistics
    Click Battery history
    Click the Other usage dropdown
    Click network usage
See if you can see the usage there

    Third,
    Find this program
    Network TrafficStats
Look through the list to see which programs are consuming your bandwidth
*You can also see system processes, but you have to unhide it

    Finally,
I compared the prop file of CM 6.1 to that of TMUS and kinda merged them to get the new build.prop file that I attached.

When comparing my old build.prop vs new build.prop here are the changes
