Simple question:
Why not just modify the update-script so that it just doesn't check anything?
** rather than modifying things to report incorrect values....

I tried the modified 2.2 OTA update with the engineering SPL.

I was able to flash the update, once it was finished the phone rebooted and the radio was installed. After the radio installed it went directly into recovery.

I rebooted from recovery and the phone has been stuck on the splash screen since (going on 25 minutes).

Here is the relevant information after the flash if it helps (the phone is a MT3G)
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2013 (SAPP30000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-2.22.27.08

I flashed the perfected SPL and the modified OTA worked just fine. Thanks!

You need the new radio as well if on 32B (not sure about 32A). if you can still fastboot then you can fix it. otherwise, sorry to hear about your phone.

Dear All, Need Your advise please
I plan to upgrade OS/ROM to the latest one for my HTC Magic,
below is the specification :

SAPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.76.0008 (SAP10000)
RADIO-6.35.10.18

Build : RA-hero-v1.6.2

What OS that match with my HTC, without change SPLand Radio
hopefully that support apps2sd and most of application that shared here

Hey Crios, maybe you can help me out. I've had a Google Ion with the stock radio and stock engineering SPL (2004 I think). Then following the guide in the next topic on how to flash the TMO 2.2 OTA with your hacked SPL I flashed your hacked SPL. Now I get errors that the device != sapphire and I can't flash ANYTHING, including the official HTC/Google 1.6 files from here: http://developer.htc.com/google-io-device.html.

I then tried to flash other Engineering SPLs from the SPL thread and now I can't boot into Android either.

I can get into fastboot and I can get into recovery (clockwork), could you please-please-please with the cherry on top give me instructions how can I recover the phone? I'm guessing I need to flash radio/hboot/os from fastboot mode but I have no idea in which order and which files would be right for me.

Please help!

PS. When I get into fastboot that's what I see:

If yes can you post your SPL/radio config and what ROM version did u use?

In my magic 32a (Tim for italians) i have old radio 3.22 and the Crios SPL in the first post..all work perfectly..

today i've wake up with the sound of notify about a new update, i've downloaded it from xda and i've signed it...

everytime sorry for my bad bad bad english..

Can you post your fastboot info? i mean you use 1.33.2013 or 1.33.0013 SPL in the 1st post?

And which ROM did u use?
