Yeah, I did that too.

I just resized it using Launcher Pro. I didn't mod the file

I placed the clock above the weather widget and then resized it to run behind the weather widget. Like this:

My question is about this:

snap20101108_154642.jpg

See how the weather widget is dimmer on the right (I know it's slight in this case)? That's because when I restart, it puts that widget behind the clock and transparency. Is there any way to force one to load before the other and stop that from happening?

SIDE NOTE: first modded widget locker that I'm pretty proud of :)

Sorry for quoting everything but can you please tell me the name of the weather widget you're using?

Thanks

Thanks Bob for your interest. The wallpaper thing is a little tricky.

This is the real wallpaper:
i4qqmf.jpg

I cut it into 3 pieces of 800x480 and put in this pieces the white text and the images (the satellite an so on). I put also the black-semi-transparent zones for the icons.
When I finished they look like this:
alovbs.jpg
5cddnb.jpg
65yb07.jpg

Then I put this 3 wallpapers into 3 different screens using "Multipicture Live Wallpaper", free from the Market.

The widgets I use are:
- Desktop Visualizer for make the shortcuts to the apps in the black-semi-transparent zone.
- Digital clock widget by Maize for the time/date in the homescreen.
- Smooth Calendar for the "agenda/calendar" in the homescreen.
- BattStatt Free for the battery percentage in the homescreen.

The dockbar is the LauncherPro dockbar with a custom background and custom app drawer button. And the icons used in Desktop Visualizer as shortcuts for the apps are the "Elegance" icons. I can't remember who is the creator of this amazing icons, Sorry.

I attached it at the end of the post cause they are free.

I hope you can make a good theme with this little info.

Cheers!

Thank you so much for all of this! I will be using your wallpaper and will make my own changes for the rest and your instructions are great as well....

It's Beautiful Widgets 4x1 with the "Letters" theme. I'll take part of the blame for not listing what I used, but it's been mentioned on almost all of the last 20 pages of this thread. I'll make sure to include the info in the future. :)

@Daaper thnx man you made my day. ... Thnx for the good explenation with the pictures.

No problem. Glad I could help!

Hey Gas (or anyone who has edited his wallpapers), whenever I download one of your wallpapers from your dropbox and then try to open it in CS5, it tells me it has an invalid jpeg marker...any clue what this is about?

Let's keep this thread going! :)

I'm curious to see what everyone's home screen looks like. How do you manage your Home Screen(s)? I'm curious as where people place things, what themes they use, what wallpapers, etc.

    Anyways, here are mine:
Left screen: for folders, media, and market app
Center: For most common apps, and a quick toggle app.
Right: Unused. Leaving open for when (more like if...) widgets are available.

Wow! 67K replies and 15.7M views!

I remember making this thread WAY back when the G1 was new. Back when modding Android was just beginning.
Stericson was the themeing master and was trying to learn from him, as you can see from my Red/Tool theme in the first post.
I was reminded of this thread today and came back shocked that it was still going strong.
I drifted out of the Android themeing community because of college and work loads, but it's okay, there are much more talented people than me working on these things now. :p

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the longest/most popular thread on xda, so let's keep it going :)

So back on topic: After my G1 days, I had a Galaxy S Vibrant, and I just got the Galaxy SIII yesterday, so forgive me for the bland layout.

I finally finished this homescreen... :victory:
It has been a long and tiring work because of the numerous details on which I have focused, 3D effects, shadows and depth .... but overall I am happy with the final result. :D

Nova Launcher - ZooperPro - MediaUtilities
    -Desktop grid size 6rows x 5columns
    -No dock
    -No width/height margins
-Top and bottom Zooper widgets size 3rows x 5columns

If you want to use my wallpaper it is included in the link, otherwise you can you use any grey backgroud for a better look.
This homescreen works fine also on a full screen device (I mean no navbar and no status bar) but I suggest you not to move or edit the map otherwise the location will not work properly, unless you know what you are doing... ;)

Credits to @King Rollo for the bottom icons (2five) :good:
