I meant "fun" for me that im learning new things other than 10hrs of screws, bolts and nuts a day at work. But hey! You did give that warning - "I will say before i begin i have been drinking. Therefore my postings may be a bit looser then normal"

of course I have not tried builds like Desire HD and Evo builds but I use Android Sense builds, coz they are from HTC Desire and HTC Desire is similiar to our HD2 in terms of drivers

Surely the Desire HD is closer in terms of drivers because it's the same hardware, pretty much.

On another topic, i decided this evening to finally try out android (Yeah, i know, it's a script kiddies playground and as a WM specialist i should know better but i was bored and figured what the hell what harm can it do) I'm currently using 23150 CHT2 TOG dec5 and i was amazed at how fast the first boot was (about 5 minutes) but after having a quick play and noticing the wifi wasn't working i decided to give it a power off and boot back into windows. At that point i discovered sense had ceased to work (not looking good for mdeejay here).

Are these known problems? i'm using mdj froyo 4.4 with no kernel mods.

Yes, sense didn't load, n I'm gonna have to hard reset later. I've gave more attention to the new alien in my hands, trying to figure out how the hell does anything work .. Finally got it all sorted after three fresh flashes (Including Arabic!), and moving to testing phase.

About sense, guess we should report it there & see if other Energizers are getting the same behavior.

And the "Launch Android" shortcut in Tools perfectly works. I've read in several Android threads (including MDJ's) that sound issues are related to a reset that must be done instantly after a fresh flash.

I was under the impression that had been dealt with but I suppose not

Sound issues can be fixed with multiple reboots(2-5) with a 2-5mins intervals to have the build settle for much better performance. Still the main issue (IMO) is battery life

Its fun! learning something new everyday lol

My setup is pretty stock. I have the same radio as you, same build and the same theme (not that theme should have FA to do with S***)

The point of it is that it shouldn't be "fun" to an experienced WM, linux and desktop windows professional (i am all of those). It should work OTB like the energy roms do and like the energy roms, leave room for customization, like linux does: I.E i always build my own *nix kernels (when running *nix on a pc) specifically with speed and stability in mind and not one of them (50 versions on, and no, i'm not lying or joking) has failed.

The first android build i try ****s up my phone and can be replicated by at least one more experienced user. Do you think it is "fun" now?!

It's been stated numerous times. Non-English ROMs will not have the themes cooked in because there are already too many ROMs for NRG to make.

All you have to do is download any of your language's ROMs and manually install the theme from the links in the second post.

I don't know about other Android builds, but both M3PH and myself confirmed yesterday that MDJ Froyo HD 4.4 screws Sense. Maybe it's the same build you tried, or other ones have the same issue too.

Take Chris's earlier advise, and stop sense before loading Android.
