Just upgraded from stock JPO via Kies. It is 2.2.1 Quadrant 1250, It obviously connects with kies no problem, over the air updates still there it requires you to enter samsung account details?

So far.... Very Smooth, All A-Z in contacts, New Market App, Radio sounds better (not as flat) & my GPS (GPS Only) now pin points my house from my garden (before it had me a few houses away)

So far so good!

Does it solve lagging and force close issues?

Hopefully the source code will be out soon so that our modders can fine tune it!

I'm also in UK, currently running I9000XXJPU flashed with Odin.

I've tried updating with Kies & using the OTA option in I9000XXJPU, but no upgrade offered yet.

Wonder, how long would it take for the rest of Europe to receive the update. Hope, it comes before Christmas. :p

I have a UK phone with product code XEU. I have connected to keis and updated Keis, then connected phone and I get the message
    Model Name GT-I9000
    Current version PDA.JPO/ PHONE JPP/ CSC.JPO
The latest version is already installed on the connected device

Can anyone help me please to get the latest version, I don't want to use any other flashing method as I'm not confident in my abilities.

    Thanks.

Download Kies registry patcher from here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=835628

Set it up like this and hit write registry and you will be good to go.

yes but can i use the same files for JPX? there was a modem file for JPU, i think it will not work on JPX. Thats why i am asking...

Download the new ROM from here: http://www.multiupload.com/MYF04CURFU

Use odin, this is a one package (mid level update) so it's for PDA.
Just choose the tar file as PDA.
Do not use other files, no pit, no repartiton, start. That's all. Here you go
