I'm looking at the structure of CM, but I'm not at all sure what proprietary files are needed for the P1000, and where to get them. Im looking at the list for the Galaxy S. Are the files the same? Does anybody know?

Not exactly the same.

You can extract them from your device (if running gb/cm7), or in your source dir, do `git clone git://github.com/cm7sgt/proprietary_vendor_samsung vendor/samsung`

Thanks, cdesai! I'm running Technomacer's CM7 at the moment, but what files do I need to extract? Technomancer's tree doesn't extract files, and the SGS extracts quite a lot of files from my CM7 Tab, but not all of them. Do I need the missing files? Or replace them with Tab files?

The github sounds great, I'll try that.

I've cloned Technomancer's tree, and I've noticed that while folders vendor/samsung/GT-P1000 and device/samsung/galaxytab are device specific, the rest of the folders seem to be CM folders. Does this mean I get a CM 7.2 build if I synch my tree? When I Iook at About phone in Settings, I see CM 7.2.0 RC1, and build date May the 13th. Or are these values hardcoded in files somewhere?

Trying to compile a build for the last two nights stops with a fatal error, symbol INCREASING_RING not defined. I think it should have been defined by patch Increasing ring tone volume option, but it obviously isn't. Anybody seen this, and know how to fix it? Thanks!

Update to latest from CM7 git.

I haven't been using my Tab 7 much recently, since my Galaxy Note is my daily driver. And today my buddy from work showed me Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 3G. It blows my Tab 7 away. So I think soon I will be upgrading to 7.7,
