Try to spin the battery on a hard flat surface (table), if it spins quite freely then it's done.
Indicates that it has swollen which should happen on the center so the corners don't touch the surface so it spins.

Hi guys. Not been on for a while, but am trying to root my daughters Desire and can't download UnrEVOked..... The website is up but the link to the windows version (and all versions) times out..... Is it me?

Edit - Don't worry, managed to use revolutionary - turns out I didn't need the HTC Fastboot drivers (also unobtainable on the UnrEVOked site) mentioned in the documentation page..... :good:

So, this has been a while. Last time on XDA was for my HTC Touch Pro2 WM6.5 ROMs, but hey, times change

I'm stumbling through all the ROMs to find the ideal one for my gf's HTC Desire (A8181) (<- does that count as Bravo?). Would anyone care to help?

The priorities would lie at stability, the ability to get apps to SD and that everything still works (e.g. not 4.x unless huge performance increase). As far as I can see most ROMs have this a2sd, but which one would suit the Desire best? Is there a near to stock (or trimmed down Oxygen-ish) optimized ROM that has a2sd?

Currently, it's on Android 2.2.2 and I think it need not be any newer except if necessary.

P.S. What about kernel, radio?

Anyone know where i can find a pb99img for twrp recovery, 4ext is refusing to flash zips and i reinstalled the os on my pc and im currently facing trouble finding bravo drivers considering unrevoked is dead.

I don't think there is but what error message you get?

Well when I go into 4ext the system partition won't mount my USB port is somehow buggy so I can't use fastboot further more unrevoked is inaccessible.
I've added photos at the end I feel somewhat screwd

The system partition won't mount also think something's up with my hboot, I can't restore any backup because the system partition won't mount, check the attachments.

I think if you go to fastboot with your cable plugged in you should see fastboot usb if it isn't then it's probably the cable or the port. Could be drivers too.

Figured out a fix without PC, took me an hour tho

I finally found all tools necessary to get Supernova + DATA2SD on my gf's Desire! A repack is available at SUPERNOVA + TOOLS REPACK

Please read up on all tools before use. It isn't all that easy. Global order of things:

Install Driver (Win 10 NOT supported)
UnrEVOked tool to unlock and flash new bootloader
Partition SD card in new bootloader (2GB EXT partition, skip, skip, yes, EXT4)
USB-mass storage in Bootloader and copy ROM zip file and Data2SDInstaller zip file to SD
Install ROM from SD zip, boot and skip through all menus
Turn off fast-boot in settings

If Data2SD failed:

Powerbutton -> reboot -> recovery
Install DATA2SD from zip file
Reboot -> Done
