I did some tests on my HTC One (M7).
The program does not crash at startup, however with the default settings there is no sound and the signal level is 0.
I played around with the settings and managed to get the signal level to show a value, it showed 98 but rotated back and forth with -128 and finally settled at some value between 92-98.
You misunderstood him. He is asking about the LTE version (GT-N7105), not the 2G/3G version (GT-N7100).

OK I mis-understood you.
I guess you mean the Visualiser, with the waveform and frequency displays.
I presume Menu-> Settings-> UI-> Display Visualizer is enabled.
I may have seen this kind of problem on some ROMs. My first thought is that the ROM does not support it. But try Pause/Play a few times to see if anything happens.
You may be able to confirm that with another app with visualization. But a global visualization is a bit different than what Spirit uses now: a visualization specifically tied to the FM audio.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Synthesiser".
There is no access to equalizer controls in Spirit.
