I installed the BR2 (20140405) Milestone last night. Today while driving to work, the GPS was working and then suddenly stopped. When I arrived at work, I saw that it had dropped the data connection. Toggling the radio via airplane mode seemed to fix it.

I know this has been an ongoing issue with some CM ROMs, and I found this bug entry which seems to be the same problem, and hasn't been updated since an entry on March 22 that says the problem was still present in cm-11-20140322, but a fix was found that would eventually make its way into a future milestone build.

So I'm wondering if anyone has seen this problem on this ROM, and if anyone knows if it's fixed in one of the nightlies post-April 05.

Fix probably means this: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/b9f3d1eaa80ea5bbde55f1cfec6f932ce122da0f

It was merged on Mar 04, 2014 so I suppose it should be ok if it's the same issue.

I just noticed a little bug (maybe ...).
I have my phone protected by SIM PIN + phone PIN.
At each system restart, after I enter the SIM PIN, I'm on the phone PIN and it's impossible to enter a code without turning "off" then "on" the phone.
I see an animation on the keyboard but nothing shows on the screen.
Do you notice that ?

Yes I also have double PIN and this issue is happening since the april nightlies.

cool, an issue that somebody else has :highfive:
Just have to wait next release !

Is there a new issue with the proximity sensor ? I don't find the right adjustment, the screen always stays ON ? (better than my initial install where it always stays OFF !)

Hey guys. anyone experiencing lag when memory drops under 200MB?

I do. I know it's contrary to what some devs say, that we should let android use the ram, rather than have it free, my experience says otherwise. Device absolutely crawls when ram less than about 120 MB. I use system tuner to adjust oom values and usually keep free ram at about 250 MB and device flies!

For the record, my problem wasn't what I thought it was. Data connection actually went away solid and wouldn't come back. I finally discovered that the APN setting was incorrect. Maybe it was somehow working with the incorrect setting, because I didn't check it after installing the ROM and was driving for 10-15 mins with a data connection working, when all of a sudden it stopped. Anyway with the correct APN setting and still on BR2, no data problems observed now.

The carriers are still updating towers with LTE and the new configurations. Some still have the old configurations with patches until they get fully upgraded. You probably switched towers to one that was fully updated. I have found this issue in southwest Missouri multiple times.

yes, I didn't tested a lot 20140422 but it was the case too with Jellytime.
I use link2sd to move apps to the SD. With 400MB free, the DHD is running well. I have to test link2sd with dirty flash on that rom, because on jellytime, it wasn't possible to dirty update with linked applications (android app optimization was starting at each phone reboot).

Flash screen on call

When people call me, screen is flashing after 3-5 seconds, it's not immediately.
This is bug or setting available there?

I using cm-11-20140419-UNOFFICIAL-ace

True and I 've never seen it any other way tbh, it 's the same with every rom.

PS: Does anyone know if it 's possible to show available RAM in the recent apps screen. I used to have this in a different rom but can't remember which one.

same here!

and Antutu benchmark score have dropped 6900 (early april version, 4-10 i think not sure) to 5400 in 4-23 nightly.

Multitask 1511/1117
Runtime 472/422
CPU integer 532/428
CPU float 382/321
RAM op 246/192
RAM speed 474/493
2D 514/512
3D 1378/1291
Storage 1004/780
Database 350/320

and oc 1300Mhz option is now missing, only 1200 and 1400 is nearest i need. 1300 is stable, 1400 is not. 1200 is slow :D (http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=52014427&postcount=2874) this change make it?

You can enable it with Gravity Box. You can find it in Xposed Module too. :)

    General:
These are UNOFFICIAL CM11.0 Kitkat Nightlies / Releases brought to you by Open Desire Project and TeamCodefire as a continuum to CM10 and 10.1 nightlies. Builds are generated automatically on every first Saturday of the month. Process starts around 10:30 PDT. If it fails, then there will be no build until the reason for failure is taken care of which can take time. Last 7 nightlies will be kept on the server. If you want a longer history of them, you are free to archive them yourself.

    FAQ:
Q: I tried to flash the ROM and got this:
    Code:
    Installing update...
    set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
    E:Error in /sdcard/..path od ROM.zip
    (Status 7)
    Installation aborted.
A: Update your recovery to one that is compatible with new recovery functions. See the list below.

Q: I've used HTC Dev unlock and flashed the rom but it won't boot. What should I do?
A: You need to extract boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot. If you don't have fastboot executable anymore from flashing recovery, install Android SDK platform tools (Linux users should find it from distro's package management) and then reboot to bootloader, open command prompt and navigate to the location you extracted your boot.img and type:

    Code:
    fastboot flash boot boot.img

You need to repeat this everytime you flash new version of this rom to ensure everything will work fluently as long as you have just basic HTC Dev unlock.

Q: Where are my developer and performance options?
    A: http://goo.gl/jpS8r

Q: Feature X doesn't work, let's make 1000 posts about it to annoy everyone.
A: Please, dont. Use search and then use search again and only then report your problem with necessary logs. [Logcat guide, thanks to MusikMonk for the link]

Q: I hate you for not fixing this issue X!!!
    A: I love you too.

    Q: How I can build CM11.0 myself?
A: Setup a basic Android build environment.
    Code:
    mkdir cm11
    cd cm11/
    repo init -u git://github.com/CyanogenMod/android.git -b cm-11.0
    mkdir -p .repo/local_manifests
    wget https://github.com/OpenDesireProject/android/raw/cm-11.0/local_manifest.xml -O .repo/local_manifests/cm_ace.xml
    repo sync
    cd vendor/cm/
    ./get-prebuilts
    cd ../../
    . build/envsetup.sh
    lunch cm_ace-userdebug
    mka bacon
Once the build finishes you'll find your goods from out/target/product/ace/ directory.

Q: Something about something something something.
A: Ask the guy/gal next to you.

Turns out camcorder is working now. I rebuilt qcom-media and video playing and recording works. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work with ION and trying to add back other PMEM memory but finally I got the right one :p

    Proximity Recalibrator

So, I was hit by sudden inspiration to rework leppie's proximity recalibrator app to be a bit more up to the UI standards these days. While I was at it I refactored most of the code to be more readable, fixed some misc things etc. etc. and of course probably broke something so dead unicorns ahead once again. I will include this tool in the next nightly build as I see it as an extension to device settings so it's kind of natural part of the rom. If you want to hate me for adding 18kb of useless software you don't use, you are free to do so. I love you too.

I removed the old-looking zoom in/out widgets and just limited the seekbars between values 0 and 50. I haven't heard anyone going above 50 so max value 255 is a bit overkill. This way seekbar is actually usable.

    Feedback is welcome as always.

Also pic because otherwise it didn't happen:
