Luckily I made a backup before I flashed, wasn't sure if I did or not lol.. But I restored that and now all is good, no more nomedia file so far..

That nomedia file comes back even after re flashing a rom! Wtf?

Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app

Did you do a full wipe and then flash the rom or did you flash the rom on top of your old one? If it was a full wipe than you probably have a .nomedia file in one of your folders. I wound up doing a nullify (because of some weird issues I've been having) then I flashed hfp and everything is fine again. I'm going to try this again tomorrow and see if it works now that I'm on a fresh install, and I'll post my results. :D

Edit: Sorry Djvoleur I just saw your previous post addressing his issue. I'm hoping my prob was just because it's been forever since I did a fresh install but I'll let ya know tomorrow. Thanks again!

Check inside the folders where your pics/music are and check for the .nomedia file...if its there...delete it...

I got it figured out! The problem was not the kernel at all!!! The problem was yesterday`s update of ROM MANAGER! Rom manager was placing the nomedia file on the root of the sd card after every reboot! There is another update today that fixes the issue !!! Thanks everyone that brainstormed with me trying to figure out the problem!

That's awesome maybe I'm not losing my mind after all! (I think the jury is still out on that one LOL) I'm glad I decided to wait a little bit to try it again because it was driving me nuts too :D Now that I know my phone isn't possessed, I'll go ahead and give it another shot here in a few. I'm glad it got sorted out!

Also it's a known issue that ROM manager will insert the .nomedia file into some directories, even root or the root of your SD, so check for .nomedia on any and all folders all the way up the tree.

edit:sorry. I guess this was too late. I saw your post a while ago but didn't respond in time. sorry you had to suffer.

edit edit:

slapped this on temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM7 132 after modding the vold.fstab, but it seems that someone was nice enough to drop in a new one anyway and give me a backup with the emmc as partition 9. Thanks a lot guys. I'm talking instead of reflashing stock. I also put in Owain's v21y fix, because I didn't see if this kernel had it and I know the ROM doesn't.

Just installed last version of this kernel on egb. 1 of the core is 100% busy over the time , as results: lags, maxed frequency and 60 degrees on the CPU all the time. Stock egb don't have thoose problems.

Question: Is the OC better on battery than the none OC? And if so, is that only because of the overclocking? Cant you just go into the settings and change it to stock and get the same battery life since the clock speeds would technically be the same in both?

Thanks

OC version not better on battery if you just set clock speed same as stock, because voltages are higher on OC.
And you can make OC better than stock by setting lower voltages, upto the limit your phone can take, and keep higher frequency same as stock.

BTW, guys new version uploaded to www.goo.im/devs/harsh

Changelog
Build 0510
Updated Linux version 3.0.44 now.
Stock & OC version both uploaded.
linux version 3.0.43 and 3.0.44 brings lots of changes (hope good)
Still works for both JB and ICS both. :D

sorry for being late in getting OC version of 1904.
Here is OC-2204, its and OC version of 1904, same changes, just different build date.

This kernel is build with all new OSX, as I have replaced my old HDD with SSD. So I am not sure it would be working or not, as I do not have phone to test it.

Kernel sources are same, but compiler changes can also effect, and other stuff effects too for working kernel.

here is link for people who can test it for me.
