I didn't decompiled anything or sth like that. I just pushed the app to it's /system/app directory and it worked.

Thanks for the info but in my opinion, it's rude to post someone elses thread link into another Thread.

I don't know. I just read somewhere that it's not possible. I might be wrong.

Importing old notes is possible, like on my Note 3, but not on our device yet. We have to wait for a dev to fix the problem with Samsung's server identifying our devices because this isn't an official update, or we have to wait for the official update. The problem is not the S-Note app itself.

So in theory, we could import old notes on a compatible device (e.g. Note 3) and then transfer the converted note files to the Note 10.1 with the new S Note app?

Ah that's genius. Yes that should work indeed. I'm gonna try that too

As soon as you install this s-note version, go to my files and copy your old s-note files to the folder corresponding to the news-note. Your old notes will be updated automatically when you open the application.

Working great, thanks.
The only issue I have is when I try to export note to PDF, nothing happens. Tried with Gnabo Rom v1 and with Official XXUDNE4 on GT-8013. Maybe I am missing something. Any clues?
Thanks.

Issue here, Issue there.. I just provided this app for you guys and I don't know how to fix these kind of bugs. I'm gonna upload the new SNote from the Note 2 which is available at Samsung Apps but I can NOT guarantee that it is going to work.

I'll edit this post when I finished uploading etc.

EDIT : Download

Try to install it like an normal application, if it fails, push it to system/app.
Since it is for/from the Note 2, I don't know about the resolution it is going to have on a Tablet.

I can't test it because I'm on 4.1.2 right now so give feedback! :)

In this version (installs ok, as normal application), there is no menu in view mode, so there is no options for export etc. Thank you for your effort.

hi eric,

i reckon you didn't use this new S Note yet (since you still use JB)
but if no, i have some question as i already flashed official KK and tried another ROM called GNABO v3, that already included the new S Note and air command

the problem is, there's no so called "easy chart" that packed with the new SNote ported to gnabo ROM.
does yours have that, and other function that work properly ?

thanks in advance

Hi there!

I also flashed 'Gnabo Rom' recently but I want back to JB, again. :D
I don't know about that SNote issue, I don't use SNote so much, so I'm sorry about that but feel free to try. ;)

    Hey guys,

I've 'ported' the new Snote over to our awesome Tablet. :D You have to be on the new KitKat Firmware to install this. You also need root.
This won't work on JB based Firmwares.

    Download : Here

    How to install :

    • Download any Root file explorer from the Play Store. ('Root Explorer' is the better one)
    • Copy the SNote.apk onto your Tablet and copy the file with your file explorer to /system/app.
    • Reboot.
    • Done.

Pushed it into system/app with root browser - worked
After I rebooted nothing happened, no new apps or anything, tried installing it from that folder, also nothing, tried replacing the original note app, also didn't work. I'm running out of ideas, thanks in advance.

Don't use root browser, if you use root explorer, it works. I tried root browser and I got the same thing as you. However, after trying with root explorer, it showed up on my homescreen after reboot.

Also, I tried importing my old notes and it just ended up failing, anyone was successful with this?

I used 'Root Explorer'. Maybe you don't have (correct) root rights?

You can also create a mod for the camera, air command, and other applications of galaxy note 2014?

Well I'm sorry, I'm not that experienced with that kind of stuff :D

how to import notes from old app to new one and edit them ?

I read somewhere that it's not possible to import old notes from the old SNote to the new one.

    Hi,
(I am a newby, so pls bear with me.) What is "your awesome tablet"? the 10.1 (version from 2013)?
which s-note? the newest one which is on the note 3 phone?
I have the tablet note 10.1 gt-n8010, android 4.1.2 and the galaxy note 3, android 4.3. I would really like to have BOTH s-notes (original one from the tablet- so I can read and edit my old notes, which are apparently not compatible with the new program- and the new one from the note 3- to share on phone and tablet, because it has the better handwriting recognition) on my tablet- is that what you did:fingers-crossed:? Or does the old one get erased?

Is this also possible for the s-health (which I would also like to use on my tablet and on my phone)?

(do you already have a link on instructions on how to get on the leaked kitkat that you mentioned I would need? Or should it work with what I have, too?)

    BR
    Pat

I meant with awesome Tablet our 'old' 2012 Note 10.1 ;)
Take a look in the 'Note 10.1 General Forum' for the new kitkat leak.
When you install the new SNote from this thread, you'll still have the old one, so you have 2 SNotes.
    I'm not sure about S-Health.

I wanted to install your SNote, but everytime I try to copy the apk to system/app it says operaiton failed. My device is of course rooted, and root browser shows me also that permission is granted ... tried with root exploerer and happens the same. Any ideas what's wrong?

Try another Explorer app from the play store.

I already tried to port/install the Note 10.1 2014 Launcher but there are some more lib's and other files maybe required to get this one running.
For Air Command I thought, let's maybe ask the 'E-Team'. They are porting specialists :D
