ok had it for some time, not too bad, but...

- problems with sounds, sms/email practically not heard, dont know why or how but more than half the time it doesnt give sound or give it so muted i cannot hear it, looks like manager for sounds seems to be faulty...

- locking problems, for some reason half the time or more screen lock when you dont have pin specific unlocking of device allows for the screen to unlock itself which is very annoying; this might be unclear so ill reiterate, if you dont set yourself pin which you inpute each time you unlock the device, then the lock function preventing from unintentional use, is not working properly. (i admit i have had it also in one other hd2 rom, so it might be htc problem, not yours)

- there seems to be no app for analog radio which as far as i know this device should have been supporting, any comment on this? can i install it separately?

Good ROM, but the battery drain and really excessive. Too excessive. Unfortunately, after a week of use I have to say that it is laggy even with cache clean. Sometimes it is impossible to use. It is not a ROM for daily use

- battery drain: POOR
- daily use: POOR
- use speed: POOR

- Rom interface: GOOD

Common issue with many 4.2.2. roms...they all are fast after flashing but they become laggy and slow after couple of days for some reason. Tried cleaning the cache and rebooting once a day but it doesn't help. Looks like these roms are suffering from some sort of "digital fatigue".

I do not know the guys that are coming from there, but that SlimRom is not optimized for the consumption of electricity - that's a fact!

The battery is melting right before our eyes
:eek::confused::eek::confused:
It's not true, battery life is excellent. 2 days with average usage is no problem. Have compared the battery usage with the same game on
different rom's, this rom is the only 4.x rom which comes nearly the Gingerbread roms.

What app/service use so many power on your phone?
Have you logged your battery usage with CurrentWidget for example? You can find out which usage scenario (sleep/Internet/...) use too much power.
Did you check, if a service prevent the phone from deepsleep?
Which rom version you are using?

We have the last weeks 10-12h sun per day, with activated "Auto brightness" it's normal that the display use more battery, than on rainy days.

I'm using v6.9 longer than 1 month without problems! Fast, stable, small and top battery life.

Thank you very much for this excellent rom!

What is better setting we can use in "PERFORMANCE" option to save battery life

personally i use these settings on performance options:
memory managemnt: checked only: kernel samepage merging
16 bit transparancy
surface improvement: disable dithering
on interface/display: recent ram bar:enabled (see how the thing goes)
i use no frills cpu control: 1075hz/384hz/ondemand/cfg/apply on boot
also greenify: (its really useful to control background apps)

OT posts

Hi my dear friends,

as agreed with the Dev of this ROM, all posts regarding battery issues, how to download this ROM, belong in the conjoining Q&A/T thread (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2237921) of this ROM and not in the Development thread itself. Therefore I would like to ask you very kindly to move your posts to this Q&A/T Thread. How to move posts and what to do after you have moved your post, you can read in post 2 of this Q&A/T Thread,

kindest regards and thanks for your understanding and cooperation, Kuzibri

pixelfreak

Kindly ask you what you mean by this cause your phrasing is not really clear to me and what I did wrong? I have an agreement with the Dev of this ROM that these kind of posts need to be posted in the Q&A/T thread for this ROM and not in his Development ROM. Just for this purpose I created with the permission of the Dev of this ROM this special Q&A/T thread
Which Developers are I'm annoying IYO?? I have an agreement with all of them for whom I created a Q&A/T thread. I'm a member of a group of RC's who is trying to diminish OT post cluttering the Dev's Development thread, so it's my job to ask posters to move there OT post to the conjoining Q&A/T thread fo this specific ROM with the permission of the Dev of this ROM. I honestly do not know what I did wrong in this case??

kindest regards, Kuzibri

I think pixelfreak translator wrongly translated the statement. I too didn't understand exactly what that meant. But Probably he is refering to other users complaining about battery issues.

Thank you macs18max.

installed yesterday slim version 8.0 always on native sd. Already in prior I had a 7.2 that was already perfect for me. Can I say that you've outdone yourself!

Really good rom, No Bugs found, super for everyday use, fast and fluid, but also versatile (I have removed some app and after some app installed by me favorite: Igo primo9.6

.... etc) ..... Great! ! Thank you Thank you.

Me too, I had mine on airplane mode, with little gaming, for 5 days straight. For one full day with moderate use on 3g always on. Let's see if I can post a screeny.

Which e-mail client are you guys using for this? I'm having trouble accessing my work e-mail which is through Microsoft Exchange. There's no stock e-mail app that comes with this ROM (only Gmail), and everything I've tried so far, like Aquamail, does not have the proper options. I've used a few other ROMs prior to this without such an issue :( For example, the MIUI Gingerbread ROM has a stock e-mail app that allows me to view my work e-mail very easily, with all the proper fields to enter its settings.

Thank you--I have done that. But no default e-mail has been installed. I am showing exchange2.apk in my list of applications, but somehow it's not running. No default music player either. I installed email.apk from a different rom now =/

    Porting ROMs
This statement is from Slim on their official sites HERE:
"Under the use of ASL SlimRoms offers their source code in Open Source spirit. You can modify, build and distribute the source and roms you built from it to your liking.
We still prefer that you ask us as courtesy and give proper credits for it.
