To make gapps work. Install the ROM using the instruction in the first page "coming from aosp ROM" after the installation and it booted to the home screen....
1. Reboot into recovery
2.wipe data and cache.
3.flash ROM from ext SD card.
4. Flash gapps after flashing the ROM. (Do not reboot into recovery and all as soon as the ROM is flashed flash gapps right away.)
5.reboot.

@ Adobe flash question posted in dev thread
I read you can sideload it to JB.
In simple terms, you can install using the apk file you have from ICS builds.
Once i get this one installed (maybe later today), I'll try to restore from my TB backup.

Useless battery drain.
Note that the phone was in airplane mode.
And usually the battery doesn't even drop by 2% during this period but on cm10 and cm9 a12 .
Maybe its due to new kernel sources that dhiru mentioned.

Give it some time to adjust itself with full charges (5/10% to 100%).
The battery is fine.

@Above me:
Settings - > System - > Power menu - > tick Screenshot
Hold power button and click screenshot.

Strange Battery drain issue

As far as mine is concern, I got a drop of only 4% in whole night between 12:00 night and Morning 7.30 with Data, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth disabled.
But once I started using the phone the drain was drastic, like 20% in allmost 2 Hrs. And the use was light.

Well i am noticing a slight drain over Alpha 12, i can see that you have some issues with the play store and stuff, reflash with the steps EXACTLY in the second post here, no adding / removing any step and i'll guarantee it works, and let it pass 3/4 recharge cycles before judging the battery.
That will probably fix it.

    Just thought of posting here.

    Don't bug me/dhiru for ETA.
    Me and dhiru have been working really hard to make this Kernel work.. and progress has been quite good so far.
    Nearly fixed up the USB on 3.0.. So that developers who don't have UART can also contribute.

    *LEDs (Needs proper testing)

    *Making the Kernel boot

    Still doesn't boot yet since we haven't added OneNAND support and proper mounts to ramdisk.

    Howdy y'all.

    Android 7.1.2 Nougat has been ported to the Galaxy SL.

    Developers work on these projects on their free time! They are not forced to work on this so be nice and respect them.

    Please keep all discussions not related to development here, this helps the developer focus and avoid common questions that can be answered by other members.

    To quote Technohacker1995:

    Things to take a note of

    • This ROM is still a Work In Progress. As such, some features do not work, as listed ahead
    • GApps is NOT RECOMMENDED as there is very low amount of /system partition space
    • Make sure you keep a backup of your files. If flashing from stock, this WILL wipe every partition
    • This ROM does not come with CJK fonts to make it fit in the /system partition. Therefore, Chinese text rendering will be broken
    • This ROM does not come with AOSP WebView or Chromium. They will be offered separately
    • This ROM is not rooted. Flash a root zip manually.

    Steps to flash
    • Reboot to Recovery.
    • Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
    • Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
    • Reboot


    Current port is based on Omni ROM, this will be changed to LineageOS soon.

    When we are back to fixing USB we will try. We are thinking of using the fsa9480 driver from Galaxy Nexus which supports OTG.
