I heard somewhere varun saying that the kernel for booting the recovery and booting the system can be different.
That's the reason why the new build 2 of twrp was based on thunderzap kernel.

The first twrp was built on when we were on Ics.

And when the second jelly bean came out it has some hardware changes.

Might me because of the old kernel your touch isn't working in twrp

@Matthew_Farrell

Try doing
Code:
echo 100 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
And see if brightness changes.

the correct command should be
Code:
echo 100 > "/sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness"

I flashed ur TWRP build 2 on page 10, then downloaded terminal emulator and type the command "su" and then command given in ur previous post. brightness get dim (become low) when the phone is normal condition. But when I reboot into recovery and slides brightness bar, nothing happens.

Brightness issue is fixed. Now the slider is working. And that error is also not showing when I click on the BOTTOM middle touch button. (it shows UPDATING PARTITION DETAILS)....

Good. Will update the first post with this build. Now TWRP 2.5 is completely bugfree
