you will not find this folder with root explorer. you are making the customizations on your pc
1) you always have files in zip or files alone under >> Download <<
2) you have exact path in my base packages eg.
/system/app/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable/ means you open for example JVR_odex_STOCK+_v1.3_LOCK_aosp.zip
navigate to /system/app/ and open SystemUI.apk
and navigate to /res/drawable/
3) then you take file from point 1) and copy it to that exaact locations
not deleting any files, not adding any new, not closing any zip until you finish copying and then overwriting changes and letting it update the archive
-always have restore ready on sdcard in case youve messed up something
btw there is also few screenshots i made showing graphicly the process

Just installed deodexed with battery/wifi icons. I don't seem to have the extended power options (reboot, etc.). Though I read it's part of the stock 1.3, could it be in addon file? I also read about the Ststem.odex files but I don't have them in the /system/app. What may be missing for this extended power options?

Hello,
Im using stock odex JVQ rom plus JVR modem and speedmod with lagfix. I am very happy with everything (battery, wifi, snappy, etc.) except the gps performance. I have also been using a modded gps.conf from darky's forum which improved a bit but still far from perfection.
I tried all the apps such as fasterfix and gps aids together with the hardware fix. still the gps seems to be achilles heel.
Do you have an advice?

well my gps works ok - not good for fast precision tracking (mytracks edemondo and so on)
but overall much better then in 2.3.3 - in terms of time to first fix & holding fix
the chip used in sgs also used in htc apple phones and tabs gives crappy performance on all devices
so it is not sgs alone problem but probably some chip deffect or its drivers overall crappiness
not much can be dona about this i think atm
and all those software youve mentioned to help fix are a piece of crap
way to take people money for full version
they will fix gps if youve deleted or missedited some files
but will not make fix better on fresh/correct flashed phone

Can you do a MOD to upload in CWM ?
or you canjust move the new files in plce of old ones
into the cwm zip flashable and push it via cwm

HOWTO:
**) always have restore file in case youve messed up something...
*) best to do it with WinRAR - so make sure you got it installed...
1) download the change_files you pick (green_notification.zip stock_bat_with_%.zip or any of stat_sys_battery_full.png)
2) unpack it to some separate folders to do not mess up files
3) now download mod file with animation you like
4) open cwm_zip by simply doubleclicking on it, should open in WinRar
5) navigate to proper file for your modification
(/system/framework/framework-res.apk for battery or /system/app/SystemUI.apk for notification area)
6) double click on one of files it will open in separate WinRar window - do not close none of them untill you will end editing
7) drag and drop modification files for proper location (/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/ for battery and /SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/ for notification)
8) DO NOT DELETE ANY FILES DO NOT ADD MORE FILES - just copy over existing ones
10) click OK at windows that will prompt you
11) close the WinRAR window that youve just updated with files
12) click YES on window that will prompt you about archive update
13) congrats youve made changes - now if you want repeat process for other file
