My IMAP account for University mail is syncing very well on JasmineROM. As for the difference between NC4 and NC2, I think NC4 should be equal to or better than NC2 in general. However, this needs more investigation. I encourage you to try this JasmineROM, and I'd be happy to help. You can roll back to NC2 or MJE whenever you want.

VVM is working very well on JasmineROM. The basic subscription is free, while the premium isn't. Even if the poll results vote for fully debloating, all removed apps will be provided as flashable zip files including VVM for sure :) I liked it with the free basic subscription, and Verizon will give you a free 30-days trial for the premium features.

i voted for debloating myself but add zips back would be OK if the framework that supports them is still intact.

I feel SUUUUPER stupid right now. I'm currently running Hyperdrive with the NC2 Firmware and MJE modem. Here's where I feel stupid, do I just wait till 1.1 is posted and flash via SS or do I have to upgrade to the NC4 firmware before I flash? After its on the NC4 firmware, it CAN be downgraded back to NC2 or MJE, just want to make sure before I make the jump. And another question, is the NC4 modem better than the MJE one? I'm one of the ones that had horrid signal with the NC2 modem, hence why I'm running the MJE one. Ugh. I should have just stayed with my fully unlocked S3 lol....ah who am I kidding, this phone is a monster. My literal ONLY gripe about it is Verizon and their locked bootloader. I miss being able to flash custom kernels and such. Ugh, I seriously feel so new right now its not even funny. :crying:

I agree. Specially when MyMobile requests Root access (weird!). However, we can convert them to user apps with limited permissions (Just to do what we want them to do). For example, VVM with free basic subscription is useful.

NC4 firmware is not recommended at all. The updated firmware is NC2 firmware + NC4 modem + NC4 recovery. Follow the instruction in OP to upgrade your ROM, modem, & recovery to NC4 and keep NC2 firmware/bootloader. You can then roll back to MJE or NC2 whenever you want.

Ok got cha, and thanks for the quick reply. I have no idea why I couldn't figure it out. I've been flashing ROMs since back in my HTC Fuze days and never had a locked bootloader until this phone. I'd be pretty upset if I botched it and broke my phone lol

I went ahead and flashed this v1.0 of the NC4, but it still is having issues with my two IMAP E-Mail accounts. The inbox syncs just fine, but the rest of the folders (sent, drafts, spam) do not sync. Same as when I had NC2 installed.
Something must have changed in the E-Mail app since MJE for it to have this problem.

Are you able to send/receive emails? You may also want to check with your account administrator as the settings/ports/folders of the mail server may have been changed. I had this problem with outlook which was fixed by assigning correct folders on the mail server via its web based interface. Anyway, I'll look into it and let you know.

Silly question here. What is NC4 Recovery?? Are you just talking about SS 3.72? I am currently running an NC2 ROM with the MJE modem and SS3.72. Is there any difference if I flash the firmware for JamineROM or would I just update the ROM through SS??

    You need to be on KK to flash any version of JasmineROM. If you're coming from JB, upgrade to KK 1st; the easiest way is to flash FULL NC2 or NC4 stock tar via Odin. Alternatively, you may flash the ROM in Safestrap & reboot to Download Mode to flash this firmware (it includes NC2 bootloader for downgradability to JB). Once you're on KK, flash the Unified KK firmware via Odin. Check the video tutorial at the end of this section.

    JasmineROM v2.2 Status | Update 1

    Ok, I know you'd like to see the changelog. I'll do very soon, but JFYI, the least is:

    :cool::cool::cool: JasmineROM v2.2 supports NC4 kernel. :cool::cool::cool:

    - You'll be able to use any of NC2/NC4 kernels.
    - You don't have to flash any firmware anymore.
    - If NC4 kernel works better, you'll be advised to upgrade your kernel.
    - If you're on NC4 OTA, don't do anything. Your firmware is fully supported.
    - If you're on NC2 bootloader, you can upgrade to Full NC4. This'll make you able to flash NC2 kernel for kexec if needed, but you won't be able to roll back to JB (I don't care). Otherwise, just flash the NC4 kernel & keep the NC2 bootloader (downgradable to JB). However, the results of the last test is based on full NC4 firmware. I'm going to play with NC4 kernel for deep sleep. If it works, you choose :fingers-crossed:

    For ETA, this violates XDA rules (don't ask!), but expect it on NEXT Sunday Aug 10, 2014 ;)
