Pretty much went well. I know your guide is trying to very concise and comprehensive, so all I have to add so far is when I installed the Android SDK, it turns out that that for the SDK that I downloaded, "adb.exe" is no longer in the "tools" directory. There was a text file in the tools directory stating that ADB has been moved to the "platform-tools" directory of the Android SDK, which I had to install through the SDK Manager while running it with administrator privileges. This is on Windows 7 x64. A little extra work!
Also had to enable "allow usb debugging" in the setting of my phone in Settings -> App's. Didn't realize I had to do this until ADB couldn't recognize it. I know this is in another guide for getting ADB to work, but I only found that out later. Also, didn't realize that going into su through the shell through ABD would require me to look at my phone to grant permission for ADB to do that. Should've read a bit further down. Felt a bit stupid about that. ;D
Thanks for the guide! Now just to figure out how to use CWM to flash stuff...
