Hey

I realised that battery meter is sucks. Its should be a bug in android system. I charged with the nirmal charger overnight in the morning i removed and it stayed on 100 for a long time with screen on. If you read my prev post its dropped before 99 or 98 after same charge and removal. Also i realised that this number of percentagle is not linear. It seems that the orginal samsung battery icon indicator shows the truth.

I am very happy with speedmod and i think battery life os realy great. I use my one rarely and i got one day. Otherhand I got a computer in my pocket. My notebook could be online for some hours. ;-)

Hardcore:
In the market there is an app called galaxy tuner
I tested it well with your kernel. And
There are interesting things in the memory management.

Its called wm file cache control.
With the default settings. I realised that a lag is went away whileni am making file transactions. Like copy file to somewhere lan or sd or whatever and run xda or web browser. Before this tweak i had slow down lag. With this i had not.

Please take a look on it. I think we could earn more if you watch it.

Thx

I'm looking at it, but what is the exact tweak you applied to the settings? I don't see any one-click option other than to flush the file cache, which I'm not convinced will really do anything for the accuracy of battery reporting.

On the other hand... 15h unplugged and 69% battery life left. This is with full 3G connectivity, making several calls and texts, internet surfing and lots of benchmarking operations (20+ Quadrants and Linpacks?). I was worried initially about Serendipity 5.11 + K13A's battery life, but it seems to be shaping up rather nicely. :)

Just curious, but has anyone noticed any lag while having the lowmemkiller tweak enabled. Seems to run a bit slow once it gets down to 38 or lower.

Otherwise, the battery does seem to be improved. Now if I could only figure out a way to get voice commands to work, but can't find a topic for it.

What voice commands are you talking about? What are you trying to do? Did you load speech sys from the market?

I have Voice Dialer installed and using bluetooth with no problems.

What was recommended to me is all done in CWM. Reset the cache is on the main screen, dalvik cache is under Clockword settings. And don't forget to do about 2 charge deaths.

Addiitinally, I have heard from a number of people that 2.2.1 does result in the 97 - 100% battery stats upon unplugging. Some argue this is a glitch, while others say it is to prevent overcharging. It's not a problem with the battery stats, just a part of 2.2.1

Thanks for your help. Is this correct? It doesnt seem to fix it so I want to make sure.. Is it because password should/shouldnt be uppercase?

Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: leave blank
Port: leave blank
Username:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password:CINGULAR1
Server: leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type: leave blank

*EDIT: I got it working now by using the settings above AND checking 'Use Packet Data' under the mobile network settings. Is this ok? Thanks for your help!

Hey Hardcore. Gotta question for ya. Is there anyway possible to integrate a startup sound into this kernel. I've tried doing several things and can't seem to get one to stick. By the way... I love these kernels you're putting out man. I won't switch to any other. Or if anyone else has any possible way to get the startup poweron.wav to work with this kernel I would really appreciate it.

I can't get startup sounds to work with custom boot animations either. It's probably a galaxy s rom thing, probably works differently from the htcs.

Anyone else not being about to use google goggles?

It runs through the tutorial fine but once it goes to access the camera it FC's.

I've seen people mention problems with it in the I9000 thread. Using this with the firefly rom.

Tried to use stock email.apk (seen it mentioned in the other thread) but didn't help.

Barcode scanner also doesn't work in the same way. Any idea how to fix this?

I had the same problem. I just used SGS tools to restore to stock email and then updated to the galaxy tab one again and they work again.

Thanks!
SGS tools currently has restore stock email.apk disabled but I tried just updating to galaxy tab email and now my google goggle works again. :D

You are correct but I was referring to the restore_email script but that may only be if you have changed your email and wanted to restore back to your last version. I know wils is looking at the email issues and frankly I need to start helping him now that I've pretty much finished moving.

It would seem that xcaliburinhand has finished his work on the car dock, including a small app to properly route audio. Just letting you know so that you can hit up his git at your leisure, hardcore.

    Updated test: K12Q-T7:

    This version is unbelievably smooth!

Android Logger (logcat) disabled by default.
Kernel debug messages have been disabled.
Fixed the super loud notifications with Voodoo Sound.

    Changes from K12P:

    - Disabled Android Logger (can be re-enabled via Tweaks)
    - Disabled all kernel debug messages (printk) for efficiency
    - Changed boot logo to I897 logo for AT&T Captivate version
    - Changed /cache to ext4nj in recommended ext4 lagfix to fix large Market downloads
    - Optional IPv6 Privacy support in Tweaks
    - Voodoo Sound v2 compatible
    - Fixed loud notification problem with headphones
    - Fixed popping / clicking noise when music and FM radio is stopped / started
    - Better FM Radio sound:
    - - Really removed the high pass filter and DRC from FM Radio (restores full bass)
    - - Turn on 4FS mode for ADC in FM Radio (smoother high frequencies)
    - - Turn on 128x oversampling for ADC and DAC in FM Radio mode
    - Adjusted volume of FM Radio and Media Playback to be similar
    - General sound quality improvements:
    - - Maximized digital mixer output to improve SNR and resolution
    - - 128x oversampling option in Voodoo Sound enabled by default
    - - Explicitly disable DRC and NG during media playback, if +1.5dB mode is NOT selected

For the AT&T Captivate version, ignore changes for FM Radio.
    8
    Reserved for future use.

    Test version K12S-T3:

    - Added 3-pole headset calling support: voice calls go via normal stereo headphones if attached, otherwise they go via the earpiece
    - Fixed mic problem, now the mic works
    - Voodoo app headphone amplifier control also controls headphone output level for headphone voice calls
    - Voodoo Sound v3

Credit goes to xcaliburinhand for some of the source code changes.
Unfortunately xcaliburinhand's patch didn't work out of the box - the mic didn't work. I had to modify the driver further to get the mic to work.

*** Note: The voice call sound doesn't automatically switch between the earpiece and headphones if you plug-in or unplug the headphones while the call is in-progress. You have to toggle the speaker mode to make it switch.
    5
SpeedMod + Voodoo Sound test version!

    K12L-T5:

    Changes from K12K:
    - FM Radio sound quality improvement: removed Dynamic Range Compression
    - Voodoo Sound v1: FM radio bass fix, controllable headphone output via app
    - rear speaker volume +1 for media
    - light sensor polling interval changed to 2s instead of 0.5s
(saves battery, more stable brightness levels)
    - light sensor sensitivity adjusted so that the screen doesn't turn bright so easily
(saves battery and reduces screen burn)
    - adjustments to IO Tweak (super smooth now!)
    - changed battery level polling interval to 60 seconds, from 5 seconds

Note that you need Supercurio's Voodoo app to adjust the headphone level. If u don't install it, the default level is the same level as K12K (+1 from Nexus S, or +3 from SGS).

PS. The FM radio sound is really awesome after those voice filters have been removed!
