I liked Slimbean so i'm looking forward to this rom. I like their dark look and 4.4 roms definetly need black keyboard.

Thanks for your efforts Kriss .

I 've installed many 4.2/4.3 ROMs but they were too slow and laggy so I returned to 4.1 . Now I want to install 4.4 ; Is there performance issues yet on slimkat ?

I moved to SlimKat 5/6 days ago, there are no performance issues.

2 or 3 times it takes a while to wake up the screen when locked.

As krislibaeer said in post #16 USB support for media storage is not working but will be fixed in next release.

I tested the FIX but it doesn't work.

I really like the dark layout, the NavBar and the ring menu!!!
That's why I left CM11 for slimkat...at least until PAC will be ready.. :rolleyes:

ok internal storage is mounting on usb now external is missing do not know why
when slimrom team provide next weekly i gonna update it too

hm i think you do not flash and use a jellybean4.3/kitkat4.4 rom the first time
it is known that root is disabled by default

so do the following to get root

go to settings --> about phone --> tap 7 times on build version --> go to developer setting --> and find the entry root and select apps
then you have root

new version is coming soon version 2.3

hi I am low ram disable an d my phone always shutdown after open then 2 minutes And low ram on same shutdown always
I am dmesg and logcat and modem put here

how I take rmt_storage ?
I am use sys log app but I dont know how take > rmt_storage ?
Now I am use 10.1 ion . I am try later your rom again rmt_storage how ?

I installed Gapps from slimroms website but the ROM has become too slow , so I reinstalled without Gapps. any one knows why?

however , after 2 days of being on slimkat , I can make a comparision between slimkat and cm10 .

smoothness : slimkat better
performance : slimkat better
free ram: cm10 better
battery life : cm10 better
compatibility with apps : cm10 better

You can try to delete from the gapps package some apps before flashing to discover which one (or ones) are causing the slowdown. I wouldn't know since I never tried it without gapps (and it doesn0t seem too slow to me) but obviously it should run faster without them (not too much!) since some of them are always running in background. You could also use a slim gapps package http://d-h.st/users/ZordanKV/?fld_id=29123#files

We i9001 users are really spoiled by the multitude of ROMs.
Thank You for preparation of the next version of the wonderful ROM.

In the evening, check, and I compare it to the action of 442 Carbon from educk.
Carbon eats a lot of battery when I use the Opera Classic.
I'll see how to keep Slim.

Slim consumes energy as fast as Carbon. Probably the fault of the kernel 3.4.x, because in systems with 3.0.x this problem does not occur.

Does anybody know whether slimteam does not provide energy widgets to their ROM? I can't find it - even on v2.4 still missing energy widgets (or power widgets).

    NOTE: this uses the new kernel with cma. so if you need the camera properly working just flash stock kernel from ADC thread or the k^kernel 2.3
    NOTE2: superuser not working ??? just go in developer option and select there adb and apps and superuser should work
