well, this is new. it worked, but it never rebooted or showed a green light when I restarted it.

Apparently I needed to root. I have dual recovery on my backup ZR now.

If you see an ERROR in the installer output, you should never consider it a success. Anyway, towelroot clearly does not work on that ROM version.

Now I tried to install the DualRecovery, but I have a problem: when I select “1” for the rooted ROM with SuperSU the program asks me to connect the phone. Basically it is as if he detects USB debugging. Why? *The problem there is before the charging from KR to SU too.

I tried to do the procedure suggested by @[NUT] : **“If you have USB debugging turned on, and your mobile disconnected from your PC, just make sure you 'revoke all authorizations for USB debugging' in the developer options menu. Then reboot your phone and before doing anything else, make sure you're looking at the home screen on your device, then hook up your USB cable. Your mobile should then ask if the connected PC is authorized or not. Once answered you can start the installer.” *...but it don’t work….

What can i do?! *Thank You!

Can you use adb shell on that device while booted to the ROM at all?

I am currently using a pre-rooted 5.1.1 firmware on my Sony Z3 with the latest xzdualRecovery 2.8.21. My problem is that I want to downgrade back to kitkat but can't find a suitable stock firmware to make my own pre-rooted firmware but have found one in the forums however that package has an old version of xzdualrecovery (2.8.1).

Will I be able to do a complete wipe then flash the kitkat firmware with old xzdualrecovery and then flash the latest 2.8.21 xzdualrecovery straight over it?

Will that be safe to do? Is there anything else I should do or any problems I might encounter?

cheers

That shouldn't be any problem.

Make sure you have USB debugging enabled and connect the device to the PC using USB. Then use the flashtool driver kit to install the appropriate ADB driver.

Then download and install adb: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2588979

Open a CMD window and then type adb shell

If you can enter the ADB shell, there should be no issue with the installer, if you can't, try to make adb shell work first before you try the installer again.
