You need to remove assert from the META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script file (inside .zip).

Well, you can't have both, so choose one...
Just kidding! Together with the ubuntu devs we were checking out the possibilities to fix that font issue without reverting to the older drivers.
But it seems that there is no perfect solution, fonts are still somewhat messed up. So I will revert to the older drivers that have no font issues at all.

When I build your n8013 build - I was not able to get the same boot.img in zip as you - it is still for android (with init.rc). Could you help me?

Now you tell us not to reboot, haha. I already found out yesterday...
Also, the wifi connected fine. But webpages did not load, so I tried rebooting and yeah.. Thank you for taking your time to develop and fix bugs for Ubuntu Touch, I can't wait until it's fully functional.

A temporary fix for the reboot issue (thanks OrokuSaki):
add this line at the end of /etc/fstab (/data/ubuntu/etc/fstab):
/system /var/lib/lxc/android/rootfs/system auto ro,bind 0 0
Tomorrow, ubuntu will switch to new alsa (sound):
EDIT: looks like after all they changed something, so we don't have sound starting 08-28. Just stick with an earlier ubuntu image.
Our device is safe, so feel free to upgrade to the newer ubuntu images (starting from 08-28) and to the new device image (08-27)

Using the latest version - font is messed up
Just download the newer device image. Font is fixed as of 08-26
I've taken image saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.zip from folder 20130827.2/ (it has the most recent creation date: 27th august 2013 20:39

I've seen a lot of efforts put into this project. Great work. Just one quick question, the cellular radio is still not working that means that we can't make phone call, right?

Sadly it's the same. But be assured, now I have one of the top developers from ubuntu helping me a little. Thanks to his help, we are the first device to have the font issues fixed and with latest drivers (the old fix was to revert to older drivers). It's still not perfect, but usable; I will post some new screenshots soon.
