Nice! It's not hard if you're comfortable with the tools of the trade.

No it's really not. I'm a themer by nature, and I know how to theme, it's the app creation that can get me

K cool ,dunno why I didn't think about just adding the apps to system instead of just data anyway, ill try that. Should I uninstall the apps first or can I just delete them from out of data/app? BTW, great thread. I've been pointing a few people in its direction. It's simple clean and straight to the point.

No problem! I'd just move them to system personally

I've been experimenting with the battery scripts
the battery works like it should but, a lot of apps crashes

I Use apk manager.
the steps that i do:
- 9 Decompile APK
- i go to the drawable folder and i edit the xml files (from the zip) and save them
- copy the images from the battery to the drawable-mdpi folder
- 11 Compile APK
Is this a system apk (y/n): n
-12 sign APK
-I copy signedframework-res.apk to my tools folder (where ADB.exe is in)
-cmd:
adb remount
adb shell
chmod 777 /system
exit
adb push signedframework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb reboot

First of all, it is a system app and therefore shouldn't be signed. Also, where are you getting the images from? Are you changing any XMLs?

I changed the xmlfiles:
- stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
- stat_sys_battery.xml
oke. then i tried it again. I've chosen for system app and i didn't sign it.
It's still the same problem.
I have the images from a online kitchen: circle.glx.nl
