ok try this cwm
take this cwm the boot.img from my nvflash and paste to nvflash from cm9
you had and worked for cm9

is not problem of cwm because works perfectly
is problem of android(OS)don't the bootloader(i'm don't sure)
something like incorrectly "linking" because bootloader cannot load android :)

CaineRau what .cfg you use for full reformating the device??
show me or send me to whyberg@gmail.com

For all guys!
9701(china) 9702(romania) 9703(russia) models have slitly differens in mmc controller
current 3.1.1 kerne have workground for this but need different .cfg then you format you device via nvflash
I think that difference size of BCT partition need be:
for 9701/wifi/ it 3145728
for 9703 it 4194304
for 9702/3g it 6291456
for 9702/wifi it 3145728

if you have a problems with it sad me!

So you can skip 1step
This nvflash wipe previous cache and data
Only change cfg

geowolf told me to put boot.img and recovery.img from his nvflash to cm9 romania
for china wifi and romania wifi the bct have same size i think is a nvflash/boot/recovery for the green horses fail

i don't reformated the device just installed geowolf boot img and recovery with cm9 nvlflash

p.s. you can adb the device when the tablet is in APX mode(because i installed adb on my computer and when i put my tablet in pc(apx booted)the nvflash returns me a usb unconnected error and after adb driver unninstaled i can flash my tablet in apx)

now my tablet is fine

you can repair the suddlenly shutdown glitch just deactivating the battery icon from the bar
don't need to download setcpu
just go in settings in performance :)

All you guys trying to use this on the gtablet:
My advice is dont. There are certain portions of this kernel that will not, and should not be used on the gtablet. The gtablet kernel 3.1 will be releasing soon, so just hold tight.

Fosser2 , can't wait for the magic of that kernel is released. I'm super jealous a bunch of my buddys here are testing for you . I've been pulling out my hair trying to wait for the launch. I keep reading that it should be really soon. Any clue ? Is there anyplace that might have a sample or ROM running it one might be able to go try it out.

Thanks for the heads up - I can't load any of the JB roms because it hangs at the three birds... was about to start fooling with this one till I read your post.

I guess patience is a virtue.

Cool.. I stop looking at rom for the malata t8 a few month ago ( i think at the end i didnt like much the pimpup version of the previous rom.... ) And also, i bought an Asus transformer TF101

But I still like my malata very much. I think 9.7'' are much more convenient than 10.1'' .. the 16/9 ratio isnt too too much my cup of tea

And also, I installed the APEX launcher as I do enjoy having my app drawer at the upper right corner.

All in all, a rom.

One question, though : I know, there is anow a permanent home button on the status bar, but what about the physical home button ? It doesnt seem to be working anymore. The "back" and "menu" physical button are working fine but not the home button...

Hello, thank's to geowolf1000 & whyberg for the very good job they did with the t8!

I have a MCC smba9701 3G 512Mb ram. I managed to flash this rom: AOSP 4.0.4 ics rom for malata t8(smba_9701)mcc using download.512MB.bat for nvflash (CWM 5.5.0.4).

I wanted to try [AOKP]jb_4.1.2_G-PACK_Malata_smba9701mcc*kernel3.1.1_cwm6.0.1.5 or at least PIMPUP_ICS_MALATA T8 , but I can't nvflash CWM or the rom.

If I try to flash these rom with the "old" CWM wich came with AOSP 4.0.4 ics rom for malata t8, an error occured and I'm stuck on recovery.

I tried to find the answer in the forum, and it seems that it is because of the memory size. How can I manage to flash the good CWM and/or the newest rom ? May I have to exchange files between old nvlash and new nvflash?
Thank's!

Doesn't work, after flashing nvflash CWM 6.0.1.5 and with xdownload.WIFI.bat, stuck on boot screen with 2 green unicorns...

Update 1: can flash CWN 6.0.1.5: I replaced .bat & .sh files in nvflash with those found in "AOSP 4.0.4 ics rom for malata t8" pack
But cannot flash ROM[AOKP]jb_4.1.2_G-PACK_Malata_smba9701mcc : it seems that it was flashed ok, but always boot in recovery mode...

Update 2: with CWM 6.0.1.5, I can flash G_Harmony_ICS4.0.4_odexed.zip but not G-PACK_smba9701tegra3v7.zip or geowolf1000_pimpup_mettalice_ics.zip

Update 3: after formatting sd card, formatting emmc with CWM, and wipe data/cache/dalvik: installation OK with PIMPUP_ICS_MALATA T8 , but still cannot install G-PACK_smba9701tegra3v7.zip.

At least, I can stay with pimpup, but I 'd to try G-Pack because of the camera not working with Pimpup...

yes, I wipe with ota 20110524 firmware, then flash cwm (latest) in swapping .bat & .sh files as said in my previous posts.
Wipe cache+data+Dalvik+ battery+ format emmc+format sdcard

Yes, I have malata 3G, 16gb nand, 512mb ram, mcc smba_9701 (not evolia), bought from Hotmid.

Pimpup is working good, but I tried 3 times flashing ROM[AOKP]jb_4.1.2_G-PACK_Malata_smba9701mcc and it stucks on boot (seems looping) for 20 minutes and so. I see the boot logo with colors moving as intended, but it cannot boot properly.

I swapped .bat & .sh files in nvflash because I have seen differences in memory allocation in nvflash config files between ROM[AOKP]jb_4.1.2_G-PACK_Malata_smba9701mcc (cannot even flash CWM) and AOSP 4.0.4 ics rom for malata t8 (can flash CWM and Rom).

Thank you very much for your help!!! If you need other informations, let me know. Tomorrow, I will try another time, starting from the beginning.

You said that "2-CWM format Factory reset and wipe data(twice for sure)" in your first post: can you give detailed informations about this process? Is it the wipe in factory mode found in ICS menu? or is it something different?

Thanks again!

---------- Post added at 11:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:18 PM ----------

I put these files from nvflash supplied with AOSP 4.0.4 ics rom for malata t8 in nvflash_cwm6.0.1.5 from ROM[AOKP]jb_4.1.2_G-PACK_Malata_smba9701mcc
device.1GB.bct
device.512MB.bct
device.emmc.16GB.512M.cfg
device.emmc.16GB.cfg
download.1GB.bat
download.1GB.sh
download.512MB.bat
download.512MB.sh

I flashed with nvflash using 512MB files.
all others files remains the one you gave for CWM 6.0.1.5
