Can You Unroot Moto G to get OTA?

I've been searching for awhile now, but I can't seem to find a straight answer.
Assuming I ROOT my Moto G and NOT tamper with any of system folders, also uninstalling any app that required root access.
If I UNRoot will be able to get OTA Updates?

Yes! you will be getting OTA Updates and even if you don't UnRoot your Moto G, you will still be getting OTA Updates

after i flashed the recovery, i get "no command" error while getting into recovery from vol down-> recovery->vol up and the phone wont load into the recovery menu.
my phone is xt 1033, and i also see a "device is LOCKED' message in the fastboot menu on phone

EDIT: really sorry I didn't know the bootloader had to be unlocked, trying that now.

Hi Guys this a universal method to root all the variants of moto g without messing up the recovery or using superboot. This works on any AOSP rom or Stock Firmwares.

Warning:Unlocking Voids your warranty. You should have an unlocked bootloader to proceed further

    Steps

    1) Go to fastboot (Vol down+Power)
    2) Flash this recovery via fastboot
    3) Now go to the recovery (press vol down and then select via vol up)
    4) Touch reboot system. It will prompt that su permissions are missing. Tap yes install(xbin/su).
    5) Now go to playstore and install supersu app.
    6) Congratulations your phone should be successfully rooted
