It means subzero mode is disabled when Lux is sleeping (i.e. an app in the sleep list is showing).
Opposite of what?It has the exact opposite effect of what we need and what I have tried to explain to you.
Also I have the pay version, would you mind to share your "dropbox" version?
(I don't have dropbox).
The missing feature is the ability to refresh the lux reading\backlight level on the fly. For instance, I don't use the automatic mode because it uses more battery than the periodic mode and I also think periodic works better on my phone. I set the refresh interval as high as it will go, which is two minutes, because it is a huge battery saver and also the light that I'm in does not change that frequently, but every now and then the update intervals fall about a sec to early and I have to wait for the next 2 min to update or pull down MY status bar or click a widget on my home screen. The perfect solution Would be Tasker integration. With that we could create our own custom gestures to refresh the lux readings/backlight level on the fly or it could be more complex by using the math and calculations inside Tasker to, for instance, always keep your backlight level a certain percentage below the luxe readings, and the possibilities are really only limited by what you can come up with. With the capabilities of Tasker and the shear awesomeness and power of this app, I believe that would make an unbelievable combination. So, is it possible?
10/31 Dropbox version doesn't stop the brightness from randomly increasing while I'm set in manual mode. Sure hope you can figure this out yet.
That could be it. I turned on persistent notification last night and don't think it's happened since. Will keep an eye on itI haven't been able to track down any portion of the code that overrides the manual mode, so I'm thinking it has something to do with Android restarting Lux when it wants to free memory. Out of interest, what value is Lux being set to when it changes from what you've set?
I currently have Lux set to adjust on wake. Is there a reason that under BetterBatteryStats->Partial Wakelocks I am seeing the following with very high Counts?:
AlarmManager
com.vito.lux.lux
Seems it is often on the higher end of my partial wakelocks.
Thanks
Never mind this might have been a problem with PGM and slide to wake.

A question - does it make sense to define Night Mode as an arbitrary brightness value instead of (or in addition to) the current alpha setting? I find that backlight is still too bright in the night mode, i.e. alpha dimming isn't comfortable, I would prefer the quick Night Mode toggle to set the pre-selected sub-zero brightness instead. Thank you!
I purchased the app from playstore and started to tool around with it. I have SGS3 with 4.1.2. I tried to use the system app integration option since I want to make sure the app stays alive but don't necessarily want the icon in my status bar all the time (already have juicedefender ultimate, tasker, LBE security master, eCID floating up there as it is). Anyway the system app integration failed so I used titanium backup to convert to system app and I got a toast that my purchase was refunded? I guess I just need to re-purchase? The app is still on the phone but it's in system lol.
