I am trying to retrieve the wireless password that had been used to previously connect to a network. Its a ChromeCast gen1 Firmware V: 1.15.38401. SSH would be the easiest way but if what I have been reading is true there seems to be no root available for the most recent firmwares post 2011. Is there some utility that allows me to connect the chromecast via usb to my computer to the retrieve the data? I am only interested in retrieving the wifi passwords that have been saved. Thanks for any advice you could give, it would be most appreciated!
