The /datadata partition is only 175MB in size and that is way too little compared to the /data partition, which is 2GB!!
This is just waaaaaay too unbalanced:
- it's impossible to install apps, so that the /data partition ever reached the 2GB
- this is because the /datadata partition forms a bottleneck. Every app also uses space on the /datadata partition
Currently, my /data partition is 30% full and /datadata is 98% full. I constantly have to move apps to my SD card, which also doesn't have infinite space..
I think you (and a lot more people) never had problems, because you don't install that much apps..But when you do, you certainly will have the same problem.
So, could you please investigate this?
This is the datadata bug, a CM7 bug that hasn't been fixed yet. You can apply this simple workaround:
Code:
1. (Using root explorer or any equivalent app) Delete folder /data/data
2. Copy "folder" /datadata to /data/
3. Change name of folder /data/datadata to /data/data/
This is the fastest way to accomplish that. A cleaner way would be to recreate the symlinks, but the effects are the same.
