I've just added a second script.
If you have JIT enabled and apply the newer script (6, 8, 24, 30, 40, 50), there should be a noticeable difference.
It's amazing what a difference of 4 more mb can make.
But then again, 24 mb free is 20% more than 20 mb free.
I did back in 0.07. Unfortunately, I could never get it to work. I also tried pushing the miui player in system/app, that also doesn't install. I've tried even installing the app from that location (via root explorer), but I would get an "could not install" error. I have the permissions set similar to all other apps in /system.sileshn said:
That used to happen to me when I didn't have my "Lock messaging app in memory" checked in CM settings. Do you have it checked?Fekish said:Today I received an sms, saw the pop up notification, but when I went into messages to read the message I couldn't find anywhere this message!
OMG, I wished I read this when I had the same problem before. What I did back then was to do a full wipe.zeppelinrox said:Turn off wifi
rename /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf to wpa_supplicant.old
Turn on wifi
Sometimes that works (android will make a new .conf file)
If not, reboot
From spare parts, go to windows animations, select "normal".Aumkar said:Alright. I have a small problem. The screen on and off animations aren't working at all for me regardless of whether I check the setting or not.
I'm sticking to 32mb VM heap, but I will try those minfree values.zeppelinrox said:I've just added a second script.

If you want your phone to be half as fast as it could be, you may as well be on eclair
So how to change the settings you are talking about? I didnt get it...
I want to try something different because i receive regular freezes for my phone...
Besides using the older kernal, is there anyway to minimize (or best, REMOVE) the DSI error?
I don't understand people crying about the performance of this current version of CM7 ROM, reboots, freezes in certain applitacions. I did not encounter ANY of them. It's just really fast, like CM6 to me.. The battery life is decent..
All of you who have such weird problems - just try wipe everything you got (data/dalvik/cache), and do a clean, fresh install - as I do every time. It can really help, you know..?

Hmmm, I might try a full wipe this weekend, the problem is that you still have to configure a lot of stuff after a full wipe, like wifi-passwords (4x!), logins for some apps etc. If you have to do that every 2,3 days it takes a lot of time.
And besides that, it apparantly doesn't work for everybody...
...
It's all opensourced, available on github, so if anyone feels up to work on CM6, he can.
I said before that I will update CM6 at least once when the final 2.2 firmware by Motorola will be released (I plan to put there at least the wifi fixes I've included in CM7). Though it looks like the final may be the same as the latest beta, so it may not bring anything new in the end. At this point I have no plans to backport any new features from CM7 to CM6, as my free time is very limited.

i had no idea...
Is this a fact for sure?

1. That's his plan.@kabaldan
is there any chance you might have time to do the update to CM6 with the backport of the wifi fixes please? I'd quite like to go back to CM6 as it currently seems more stable to me, but the crappy wifi problems are a deal-breaker for me...
also, if I did go back, would there be any negative effects if I flashed the kernel that's in the latest CM7 builds?

Well, except for wpa_supplicant@gmail.com
rm -R /data/misc/wifi
exit
will there be any update for your 7.2 mod? I know it is much stable and great work but only a question or will you look at cm10 to get it fast like this?
