Since the Desire 2013 phones by HTC are very new and don't have device forums, I've decided to make a list of their codenames for reference.

HTC Desire 200 - gtou
HTC Desire 300 - G3_U
HTC Desire 500 Dual-sim - z4dug (Thanks Ner666!)
HTC Desire 500 Single-sim - z4u (Thanks Ner666!)
HTC Desire 600 Dual-sim - CP3_DUG
HTC Desire 601/61D - zara (Thanks SPSPaWn!), zara_cl
HTC Desire 709d / 7060 / 7088 (China Only) - CP5_DUG (According to LlabTooFeR's twitter)

Do you know how to root htc desire 601? I tried a lot of methods but they all don't work please help

You need a recovery first. You can also try Framaroot @ http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2130276

Framaroot doesn't work it says 'Error 7#' and what do you mean by 'need a recovery'?

A recovery. Like clockworkmod and twrp.

But clockworkmod is not supported by my device and I dont understand the instructions of twrp.

I have tried clockworkmod but when I tried running it with Rom manager it says 'an error occurred when trying to run privileged commands' help?

Don't use ROM Manager it's not the best thing...
I can't find a ClockworkMod yet.. you'll have to wait till someone decides to develop it. If possible though.. can you get me your stock recovery.img?

install a terminal emulator and run this in it:

cat /proc/emmc

then I'll get you a tutorial on how to dump recovery.img

Firmware is, but no CWN Rcovery. Need to do everything manually in adb
files look in my signature.
