EDIT: New version is getting uploaded! But actually there'll be four: One which comes as it got compiled with the named app included as features, one with the system/frameworks folder from djolivier's Sense 5 ROM for the fixed Auto Brightness/Wake-up/EBA, my CM10.1-MOD, and one with Facebook Home. The second named version will have a "SF" in its name (system/frameworks, the one with Facebook Home a "FH". The reason for the first and second named version: as changes are coming in and also something in the frameworks folder gets changed, but the Sense 5 ROM is not based on the recent build of my Nightlies, it will probably not contain all the upstreamed changes from CM! So: looking for latest stuff and not caring about lags: usual version. Not looking for latest stuff and caring about lags: SF. Facebook lovers: FH :) FH version will not contain the "modded" frameworks folder. Additionally you need to run the latest Facebook (katana) and facebook messenger (orca) app before installing this build ;)

Awesome work, really!! I'll try this ROMs in the next days. :D

I want to know if there are any changes/workarounds on:
-Camcorder issue
-Video Playback (Youtube) issue
-WiFi / Mobile Data bug

GPS Dead

Hi,

is anyone having problems with their GPS?
I have tried pretty much every CM10.* rom and the GPS seems totally unresponsive.
I have just flashed the latest nightly of this rom and using "GPS test" I can see that there isn't a single satellite being received.

This is not a "fix" issue. Waiting 10, 15, 30 minutes, makes no difference: 0 satellites.

I have tried roms based on gingerbread and the GPS works perfectly. Even from inside the house I get 4-5 satellites right away. It's not enough to get a fix, but it clearly works. Outdoor it gets a fix in fractions of a second. With CM10* even outside there's absolute darkness ...

I just (re) installed the latest .zip. I made sure I wiped everything, formatted everything (except SD card) and everything went smooth.
The account sync's and the phone works wonderfully, ... except for the GPS: it just does not work.
This happened with other roms based on CM10.

FYI: I also tried apps like fasterfix but those help getting a fix faster when you have at least a few satellites. Right now I have absolutely no data.

I'm thinking that, perhaps some versions of the Wildfire S have a different type of GPS and it doesn't work with the "default" software ... I can't think of any other reason why.
I'd appreciate some help.

So it is a known SW issue with JB and WFS? I had the feeling I was the only one having these problems ...
ScardracS, I'll ask you some questions on your rom in your thread, if you don't mind.

iH8Ra!n, are you aware of this? And if so, do you have any plan to fix it? (no schedule ... just to know whether I should look elsewhere).

i have problem with battery. for one night from 00:00 to 08:00 from 100% down to 30%. off the wifi, gps and Bluetuth. activated GSM only.

Too much changes to list them all! Was overwhelmed by the amount of the changes :D

Any feedback to the Facebook Home version? Did it work? Will not upload such a version again if it's not working anyway! :D

Btw dude did you get panorama and camcorder to work, like they work almost perfectly on modpunk's last update which is too old.

    Will try to realease a Nightly every 2nd Day...not really NO! There aren't many changes that come in every day. Only changes from git.cryptomilk.com or from androidarmv6s' GitHub repo. So: I'll definitely release a new build each time something changes respectivelly something is listed under the command "repo sync -c"​

    INSTALLATION

    FIRST INSTALLATION OF THIS DUDE
    Download the latest CM10 build
    Download the 4.1.2 stripped GApps
    Put both zips into the root directory of your SD Card: /storage/sdcard/0/
    Boot into your Custom Recovery
    "wipe data/factory reset"
    "wipe cache partition"
    "advanced" > "wipe battery stats"&"wipe dalvik cache"
    "mounts and storage" > format everything except sdcard
    Flash both zips with the Recovery with "install zip from sdcard" > "choose zip from sdcard"
    Reboot
    Enjoy the new flavour of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

    OPTIONAL
    Eoghan's kernel:
    Download Eoghan's kernel
    Put the zip into the root of your SD Card: /storage/sdcard0
    Flash the ROM
    Flash the kernel
    (Flash the INT2EXT4+ Script as described below)
    Flash the GApps
    Reboot into system

    INT2EXT4+ Script:
    Download the INT2EXT4+ Script

    Ok you lost one of your rom user. By acting like a ''boss'' thinking people who don't think like you are noobs wasting their time trying to get some informations they could have found themselves (they may don't know how to use a computer, what's the problem ?), you will get more people getting angry against you ! It's a forum to help other people who are having questions/bugs, not a forum to say that someone sucks so much that he can't do 2+2=4...

    You go mad only because a ''noob'' asks something that have already been asked... Please grow up a bit ! Weren't you a noob before ?     First build in 2013

    Made a new build! 01-01-2013 :) I use the "jellybean-stable" branch now, so I removed all old builds from my hostings site and from the changelog. I can only say that it's butter smooth ;)

    Enjoy it! :)

    P.S: I recommend a clean install!

    i'm really sorry but i really feel like saying this.

    iH8ra!n, it doesn't look like you have the skill set to do these. more than half of the messages on this thread is you failing to compile and dudeman/oliver helping you.

    you have like 3 different roms based on modpunks/olivers/dudemans gits, they are mostly all the same stuff with small changes, most of them are more buggy than the original nightlies. you don't offer support nor you have the knowledge to do so.

    we all have access to a computer, we can all install linux on it, read a few tutorials and start compiling, get a few patches of off gerrit, apply them and offer people broken builds and call ourselves developers, but we don't do so.

    i'm sorry if this post seems offensive but it's the truth. you first started with offering a nightly for cm10, saying that the person who's supposed to compile them aren't doing so, it was acceptable to some point (although they weren't compiled properly and had more bugs than the original ones). then you applied a few 4.2 modifications and did the same, and after that, you created a dev thread for an imaginary cm10.1 build.

    modpunk was very strict when he was working on cm9, people were thinking twice when they were asking questions let alone posting a half ass working rom using his code.

    you cant even work with git properly, please quit and stop leading novice users into thinking these are the latest working cm10 builds for our device.
