I stopped for today on the OC code, can't seem to get it stable (at least on my phone).

Just build a fresh kernel with -O3 flags, download links in OP.

There is somethinf wrong with your kernel. When I choose shutdown or reboot to recovery, it reboots normally.

You are correct, reboot recovery seems not to work. 3-button-combo does for me...I'll look into that and put a warning in OP.

Have you modified initramfs?
If yes, check if bootmode=2 gets verified.

I really like this Kernel, I've bundled it with my MIUIv4 ROM port, I'm still on .10 and so far it's stable and fast without the need to faff about with separate apps or init.d scripts. One thing though and I know it sounds really petty but is it difficult to change the Splash Screen? Like I say, I use MIUI and it doesn't really fit. I'm happy to do it myself if someone can give me instructions.

No, initramfs is unchanged. That's the odd thing. But I actually also had a reboot after choosing shutdown. So it looks as if something goes wrong during shutting down the phone after making the selection for normal reboot/recovery reboot/shutdown.

You mean the kernel boot splash? This can only be changed before building the kernel, not after building. So you have to build yourself if you want to change the Splash screen.

On 0.1 everything works perfect, on 0.11 after entering pin, phone reboots all the time.

I removed version 0.11, too many errors reported. I only changed flags from O2 to O3, no other changes in the kernel source (to be sure that any change reported was due to the changed flags). So it seems O3 flags are a no-go for the time being....

I'm still running 0.11, zero problems...
