Have you calibrated the battery? if not download battery calibrator from the market, charge your phone to 100 percent, while it is still connected open the app and calibrate the battery, then disconnect the charger and use it for a couple of days as you normally would and see if you still have the same problem.

@jcsww, no that kernel will not work, a KJ2 rom requires a KJ2 kernel, not to mention that the KG2 overclock kernel is incredibly unstable. I am working on a new kernel that will have that ability without crashing every 5 minutes, but until then, I would suggest that you stick with the included kernel.

I haven't experienced that. Though, with the stock KD1 and KG2 ROMs, the phone would miss random keystrokes when messaging. It was the worst thing about the phone. This ROM is much better.

After testing for a couple of days now, this is the best ROM i've had so far and battery life at the end of a typical day for me is at 58%. Usually it's at 5% or i've charged it a bit already. Keep up the great work guys...

i am not sure if this is my fault but when i restarted my phone all the installed apks fc so i had to delete them and re install it
Now only seepu , sms backup ,tonido do not hold the passowrds or connections which forces me to manually input to get them to do their job (also with android lost which is a tracking app for my phone

I use astro file manager to backup my apps too and after enabling voodoo I had to reinstall a few apps as well.

After reinstalling and fixing permissions everything has been running smooth and I've had no problems...

I haven't put out my thoughts about this rom yet so i will now
while this rom is responsive it to me has a few bugs, gps is slow to find location, the gallery does not load very well it lags
but other than that i like the theme and the smoothness!
great job will be looking for an update!

After using this for a while I noticed my free ram dropped to 50mb with the same apps installed that I always have. I get 90+ with ginger clonev2 so I switched back. I couldn't find out what was hogging the ram :-/

    Install Instructions

Instructions - NOTHING NEW, if you know the drill then go ahead and install.

    - Put zip file in your /sdcard
    - Reboot into cwm recovery
    - Wipe Data/Factory Reset
    - Wipe Cache Partition

(Optional but recommended to prevent any minor issues)-Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM

*Now before you Flash, Only if you are on the orange CWM, (Not RED voodoo CWM from Bali) if on red CWM ignore the mounts/unmount part*
MAKE SURE YOUR MOUNTS LOOK LIKE THIS: (Go to mounts and storage from CWM recovery)

    UNMOUNT CACHE
    MOUNT DATA
    MOUNT SDCARD
UNMOUNT SYSTEM - this is the ONLY mount you pay mind to, not Sdcard or anything else

    - Now its safe to Flash the .zip

(AGAIN IGNORE UNLESS IF YOU ARE ON A RED VOODOO RECOVERY) after you flash, go back to mounts and storage and make sure your mounts look like this

    UNMOUNT CACHE
    MOUNT DATA
    UNMOUNT SDCARD
    UNMOUNT SYSTEM

(Optional but recommended)-Wipe Cache then Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM before Rebooting.

(To First Time installers, System Needs to be set to Unmount, though it would really be mounted. If you do Not do this you will have a softbrick and will have to ODIN to stock and start all over ....) Once you have Flashed a Custom ROM or Bali 2.2 Kernel you dont have to worry about mounts

AFTER THE ROM BOOTS, i Recommend letting it sit for about 5 mins without use so cache and stuff builds back up, then log into google from gmail/market or someway, let google sync for 5 mins then reboot again. then you will have your Sidekick 4G in the best state its ever been ;)
