Hello

I also install the cm11
Here it is no different with the software if what I read on the forum
A few bug but that's no problem for me
I believe in Mike's work
I have a question about the sd card from me
I do not know exactly what I need to do to best use him
I got so used to him still valid as the last in cm10.2
So now cm11
Should I mount the card, or formatting to ext nof or something else?
If I need to format it to ext can I still the old files such as pictures places back on the sd card?

With kind regards

I'm not sure what you're asking about but there's no need to mount anything. Just wipe/factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache. If you wanted to format the sd-ext partition, you can format that without losing data such as music, pictures etc. Formatting sdcard under mounts and storage will WIPE all data including pictures, music etc. on your sd card.
Please refer to bejunk's instructions. Thanks!

Hello

Thank you for the quick reply
If I understand you do not need to change it to ext or to mount the sd card
I asked this question because I thought it was better for the system in order to do something
If it does not make out so I leave it because my windows 8 can simply read the sd card that is so easy

With kind regards

No you don't need to. Just flash your kernel, wipe data & sytem & cache as @bejunk has said and then install rom & gapps.

Wait! look for bejunk's and xperiaxyz's previous posts. I misunderstood something, sorry!
Btw as what Mike said, flash kernel, format system, data, cache then flash Cm rom and gapps.

Hello guys
I want to modify external keyboard layout on my Mini Pro, but the problem is that i have russian version of it. So changes in pm8xxx-keypad.kcm don't have any effect. Can smb tell me please, where in firmware can i find cyrillic layout files (maybe in some app or something)?

3.4.72 to 3.4.75 kernel

hi,
my laptop got fried and so was not able to upgrade the kernel and directly installed 4.4.2 from 4.4.1
so currently on kernel 3.4.72 and cm11 - 20131225 version.
will flash to 3.4.75 asap, but till then will the previous kernel cause any known issues ?
the rom works smoothly and i have faced no issues till now.

Any help on this matter?
Mike and other developers - great work , much much appreciated

It all depends on the kernel but if it's working then it's good with it :good:
We always have to remember, Mike's CM rule is we have to always flash the kernel included in the zip.
Happy New Year everyone!

I didn't check but I'm pretty sure it's not the case because every Adreno 2xx drivers since Android 4.1 needs ION memory allocator.
We are stuck with PMEM because of proprietary camera libs, so we are stuck with latest PMEM Adreno driver

Ohh so that's why Mike is working on a new kernel which is base from ION, another thing that our graphics driver since JB4.1 has glitches is the cause of a not implemented 4.1 ION Adreno libs, great! thanks! Happy New Year!

Yes, many people ignore the monumental work of Mike, not always visible to the user, to improve our roms...
Optimization, improvement, drivers compatibility,...
Work for which the majority of us do not have the competence to analyze.
That's why propose in this thread external driver updates or kernels is more than clumsy and disrespectful.
I hope some finally understand ...
Waiting, I wish you a beautiful feast for this very near end of the year!!! ;)

The work mike does is amazing. Looking at his github activity makes me realise I know almost next to nothing about android. And some of his time is spent closing bug reports of people who do not care to search or read about their related problems.
We are really blessed to have peole like mike and shufuking , who are working real hard to give us a great experiance on these 2 year old devices. Hats off to them for their hard work!
Also, Happy New Year to everyone.

    Here's a status update:

    - Rebased & cleaned up the new audio HAL
    - Some fixes ported from msm8660 audio HAL
    - Fix in audio HAL for VOIP apps like Skype and Line
    - Fixed coconut stereo speakers
    - Testing some changes from CAF jb_2.5.3 branch in frameworks/av related to LPA audio issues
    - Testing some camera changes again, should be the most stable we can have at the moment
    - Disabled 720p again. It's unstable and needs more testing. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Testing change to fix "bootlogo appearing while in android" bug
    - Tested FM and made some additional changes but still don't get audio. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Kernel: some interactive governor updates
    - Kernel: increase ION_MM size. Should fix out-of-memory issues with some apps like netflix

As usual, I push all my changes on github so you can test building.
I would appreciate if you don't share any more home builds here, I will release some builds myself when some more bugs are ironed out.
