Yea, just backup user apps only, not system apps. And make sure your launcher is backed up as well, saves your home screen prefs.

Btw did you buy an s-off device or did you just get lucky?

I just flashed 3.3.4 the second time because I got system ui fc, the moment I was trying to hide&change the vertical quicksettings. No way of getting out of it. So I flashed a second time...full wipe and full installation. Same thing.

Edit: 3 rd time now..it is repeatable. Maybe it is important to know that my language is german in venom tweaks now. Very confusing I am flashing last time now..hoping you are gonna fix that soon.
We got Tweaks-FC yesterday with the beta of 3.3.4 when tried to Hide n reorder, but Rich fixed it in the official version.
Weird, no one in beta-Team had FC with the official 3.3.4, maybe u flashed a Mod/Theme with an older Base like RedVenom?

LG, Helmut

Edit:
I´m using german language too, the others english, both sides no Problem.

Re: [INFO][BUG][GUIDE] Q&A ViperX

Battery readings indicate 45% on ROM and Recovery. Can recovery be wrong about battery readings too? My battery life is quite crappy actually. Lasts about 8-10 hours with fairly moderate use.

I use twrp and often noticed the battery readings are incorrect in that. I don't pay much attention to it.

Re: [ROM] 03/02 Team Venom ViperX 3.3.4 - Sense 4+ JellyBean | orig. OTA | Tweaks

Hello. Is there any way to unlink sms notification volume and ringtone volume?

No, unfortunately not. That's the way it's been implemented in JB sense. The ring tone, notification and system volumes are all linked together.

You should post these questions in the Viper Q&A section though.

APM theming

Guys, I am trying to make my AOSenseP theme fully compatible with VX+3.

Can you please tell me where the APM pulls the Mobile Connection and the Camera (Screenshot) icons from, it's not the same implemenation as it was on ICS anymore...

Good to see ViperX still going strong on JB, big up!

I was lucky... My CID number was "in the list"...

Sorry, but what do you mean as "make shure your laucher is backed up" ?

Go to Titanium backup and back up your launcher separately because if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't back up under user apps. Search for Nova launcher or apex or sense or whatever you're using and you better back it up!

True, I think CWM has better recov battery readings. I use twrp too though. Anyway, I'm going to get my phone checked out. Any idea what's causing the capped clock speed?

Another odd thing that I've noticed since installing ViperX 3.2/3.3 is that my clock speed has been capped at speeds under 1.5 (1.3, 1.4, 1.2, changes every time I freshly install my ROM). Haven't messed around with overclocking/undervolting at all. Clock speeds are set to 1.5 max and the 54 min but if I change the min to 1.5, it stays at 1.2/1.3/1.4.

Hi,

is the power+home screenshot function working in 3.3.4? or is it in the pipeline for 3.3.5?

Thanks :cowboy:

I can't link my contacts in People app to their respective facebook accounts. (thus no facebook updates and profile pictures shown in people app and when they call etc.)

anybody else encountered this?

EDIT: sorry, didn't know there was a Q&A post, so please ignore this I guess.

How to customize ViperX with tweaks!

    About

Shows links to the main developers and their Profiles, also their donate link.
Shows a link to various Social Sites to stay up to date with Venom.
Shows a link to the “Profiles” Function at the Bottom.
Profiles can be saved after you have set up your Venom ROM and can be used to later restore all your tweaks automatically if you happen to reflash your ROM.
The Profile will be saved as “1.xml” (for first Profile) to the folder \sdcard\Venom\Profiles

    Fixing/Optimizing

    1) “Fix Permissions”

Runs a command that corrects all file permissions in Android. Can also cause trouble but usually it helps with issues.

    2) “Zipalign all APK’S”

Runs the “zipalign” process on all user apk’s. This can be handy as not all App Devs do a zipalign and that makes the APK behave bad on memory. Zipaligning them can make them run better in memory.

    System

    1) “Mount Sytem r/w”

Mounts the System with Read and Write permissions for file browsers. This can potentially be dangerous because malware could abuse that but on the other hand, its helpful too if you like messing with your system and malware could also execute this command anyway, since you already run the device as root user.

    2) “Disable Logcat”

Disables the logcat of the system. Makes it a little faster and use a wee bit less juice but you won’t be able to provide your Dev with a LogCat if you have problems. These logs are incredibly helpful for debugging. So just try it out if it betters anything for you.

    Wipes

    1) “Wipe Cache”

As the name suggests, this wipes the cache partition. Saves you a reboot into recovery.

    2) “Wipe Dalvik Cache”

    See above!

    Font

    1) "Use custom font"

Install a custom font pack (this option was enabled when you downloaded a font from HUB)

Lets you pick a custom bootanimation. Those can also be obtained via the Hub for example.

    2) “Custom Down Animation”

Same as above for down animation.

    3) “Enable Boot sound”

    4) "Custom boot sound"

    CPU

Apply settings on boot (Automatically applies CPU and file system settings on phone boot includes boot-loop protection

    File System

    1) "I/O Scheduler

You can choise your preferred I/O (ex noop) [at the moment, there is only noop because htc hasn't relase source code yet

    CPU/Kernel Settings

    1) "CPU Governor"

You can choise your preferred Governor (ex. ondemand, powersave, etc)

    2-3) "CPU Min/Max Frequency"

You can choise your preferred CPU's frequency
