i can try, i have that bug, and i have time to do a new upgrade, and i have a nokia phone, so i can reformat my sd card as i did yesterday :D

so, if someone hasn't got a nokia phone, wait, i'll write if you can use a locked sd with new rom ;)

oh, question, have to reformat nand with wm6.5?

I have my SD locked, so i do not have any other choice than flashing this one :)

it's the 7004 base? or just a 7720 sd locked to 7720 sd unloacked? :)

Mmm, untrue!

Those in the medical profession need android. WP7 have no medical apps! There is a solution, not optimal, but I heard that you can carry two sd cards. One locked to WP7 and the other one with android sd rom in it. I don't really like that solution, but if you really have to then its a must, otherwise you can risk erasing your android rom each time WP7 is used.

maybe new rom can format an sd locked card, don't know if you understand
if new v2 rom can formant my sd loacked card, it's ok, even i use my n95 to unlock the card

i'll say it, so people without a nokia can see if they can use his sd card with the new rom

Hello all i'm new.

Just installed everything with 7720 and SD working...
I managed to did this by reading almost all of 80 pages about 70%.

As i get it, the only way for marketplace to work is to activate the phone with a real serial number?
Is that correct or is there another way?

I would also like to thank the developers for their hard work and also the forum members which helped a lot by writing more detailed procedures, though i had to use one trick that was my own. :)

Okay so with the SD card locked. It boots up really well and i see all my storage!!

But when i select french language it keeps rebooting..

EDIT : I'll keep the phone in English for now and i'll make all updates that way..

EDIT 2 : After applying 7008 update via Zune, the phone keeps rebooting.. Don't know what to do know

can you list whats changed in this ROM..

Are you saying that those on 7720 from your first ROM, should reflash with the new one?

ok guys, which is the uk and us english language pack in the rtm folder?..can anyone please guide me to the language packs..which is which..so we can skip some that we dont use?

How does Yuki's new rom change our whole update process?
I guess it's 7004 base, just will lock our SD at first boot, and we won't need to hard reset our device during update.

you are kidding man....check out for unbound medicine apps..there are tons of them,...also look for fmcalc..great ones,...beat all the med apps on android

Yes, if you have encrypted your card you see you have problems to even send a cab so you won't able to make futur zune updates.

It's why we talking about waiting for sd card.

But if card is already encrypted and you don't have a device which can reformat it better to wait to see if system can reformat it at boot.

Or wait to find someone which have a device to reformat it.

For the base language better to send all because a futur microsoft update could fail without them.

sd card fix not enough memory

I have managed to successfully update to mango 7720 but having problems with sdcard fix

when i run wp7 update cab sender it tries to install then says that there is not enough memory in the user store

it then says its unsuccessful

i have tried hard resetting with the sd card removed and before trying to launch the package have about 17mb free

i cant find the answer anywhere in the forums

help would be greatly appreciated

so yuki, iam at 7712 now....what should i do?...update to 7720 as said earlier or what?..please guide ..(i have no prob with sd locking up...i can format using wm6.5 from my bro's hd2)

Exactly that, I've removed cotulla patch for sd
So now it's really like another wp7 phone and update won't have problems and no reset needed after 7712 and so all packages from 7720 can be send at same time since no problem of size
And it's important for futur updates to works the good way

xboxmod is updating post now :)

    ----Know issue-----

    ----How to Update: ----
    -1st it's recommended to flash an old rom wm 6.5 and let it boot entirely
    -Format your SD card too
    -Flash magldr 1.13
    -Enable 24MB extra memory in Magldr services
    -Delete MBR of SDcard in Magldr services
    -Flash the rom with DWI & Set a correct time & date.
    -Install the lastest version of zune client.
    - You can Run the zune update process like a real WP7 device & go to build 8107.
    -but it's better to look the cab thread and install os update via cab this is really faster than zune.

    Personaly i'm updating this way:
    -7004 => 7403
    -7403 => 7720
    -7720 => 7740
    -Update SP1 or after 8107
    -7740 => 8107
    -operator cab,xap deployer,skin,ect.

    -sync live id

    troubleshooting:
    Majority of problem during update are caused by SDcard
    try different model to be sure.
    NOT all SD Cards are compatible with WP7.
    If your card isn't compatible with WP7, it won't be used for data storage &
    it may cause random reboots,freeze & update error.
    It very recommended to use SDHC 2Go minimum.
    Use a good quality SDcard for best performance
    if you have any problems with SDcard after first 7004 flash (boot in loop) or can't upgrade 7403     read this.


    How to hard reset wp7:
    (When Magldr show WPH LOAD 12345 GO GO GO Press Vol+ & Vol- then after the new screen press VOL- twice.)

    • I have flashed v1 and installed the whole process, should i flash v2? >>> Yes, it will fix a few issues experienced with v1, such as encrypted card whilst allowing auto update in the future to work. :)
    • Bluetooth does not work properly? >>> Turn on wifi and reboot, bluetooth should now work correctly.
    • My wifi doesnt work, what can i do? >>> Try setting a different (lower) channel on your router and reboot your phone.
