It does both. I just discovered that it does the search remap too. This modifies the framework which is basically themeing

Seriously, is there any way to do a mod like this WITHOUT deodexing?
I thought deodexing only helped with themeing/customizing (maybe I read a misinformed article)? And doesn't long pressing the menu button bring up recent apps?

I have the same question. The current deodex tool (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1647690) is not updated to 1.83.
So no deodex, no mod?
for whoever was asking for a before and after... -_-

Will this work on the new 1.82 firmware? Or does it need to be updated? Thanks.
Updating now...I'm gonna need someone to test, as I am working on my bootloader and don't have a deodexed ROM, etc. I'll let people know when it's done...

Hi, this is an updated version of the Advanced Power Menu for the 1.82 RUU. It should also have the extra toggles underneath the regular menu. I can't test it, so please let me know how it goes. If you can logcat it, that would be great, but hopefully it will just work...
This is NOT a flashable zip, it is just a zip with the files, so you need to insert manually...I highly recommend backing up your current android.policy.jar and framework-res.apk before doing this.

Remove 3-dot menu bar coming soon....

A build.prop edit remaps long presses of keys? Sorry, please explain...

yup....tried again, downloaded dropbox file at bottom of OP, replaced all 3 files to their correct spots (checked twice before i did it), running the CleanRom, replaced using Root Explorer, booted up and HTC Sense and Wallpaper unlock screen have stopped. Won't let me do anything except pull down notification bar.
I seriously don't understand what i could be doing wrong.
Yeah through that method you can remap the buttons, but you can't remap them to anything with a long press. I'd like to be able to keep my recents button as the recents button, but hold it for the menu. Or simply hold it for recent apps, either way works better then the way I'm doing it right now (swipe down the notification shade and use a toggle that brings up my recent apps). Can't wait till you release!
