Just want to say that 2.3.0 works fine on 4.1.2 (CM 10 10th October).

Thanks stratosk for the great work you have been doing.

Will the new kernel version work with Slim2.3 or do I need a new Rom version? Dont know exactly which partition layout I need..:confused:

I can also confirm, that 2.3.0 seems to work fine with the new 1010 CM nightly based on Android 4.1.2. Good job, stratosk :)

Live OC in Semaphore manager and NStools diverge

Hi Stratos,
I updated to 2.3.0s with Slimbeans 2.6. I overclocked to 114 with Ondemand and CFQ (Is CFQ or Sio more appropriate forh overclock?). I had three reboots the first minutes, now it appears stable but I will check in the next hours. However, I have observed that in NStools live OC remained at 100. What does it means? Is there some conflict?
Thank you for your reply

Bluetooth keyboard

@Stratosk: did you had time to see what's causing this bug?

I have a bluetooth mini keyboard. It pairs and connects correctly to the phone, but has no effect (any key i press it does nothing). Instead in Devil's kernel it works correctly. I checked the logcat and I don't see nothing strange, so don't know what it could be.

Please fix it if you can, i need my bluetooth keyboard and i don't want to move fro your superstable kernel!
Thank you!

BTW, 2.3.0 build is super-smooth! Awesome job!

Just read in the rom release notes if the dev has included the hugemem libs. If you can't find any information probably he has not.
Anyway you could just install the libs yourself and then flash the "s" version of the kernel.

Note that if you install the "s" version without the patched libs, your phone will work correctly, and you will just be unable to play or record 720p videos.

Thanks for answering, so i think normal cam record in 720p and S can do it ? For hugemem libs i just flash it from clockworkmod ?

I'm not sure why NStools shows 100 as liveoc value. Please check this in terminal emulator:
cat /sys/devices/virtual/misc/liveoc

Also clear NStool settings from recovery and don't use them. It may cause instabilities with Semaphore.

I'm sorry, I guess I forgot to check this. Noted.

Please try to reduce liveoc to 1140. LiveOC is different from normal OC. LiveOC can't be stable to such high values.

Hi,

Stratosk, In EliteRom V13v3 in the /system/etc/inid.d/s01 file there is a "AWESOME" line:

rm /dev/log/main

After removing that abomination... everything works again. :)

    This is a kernel based on the pawitp's one and it works for Android JB ROMs.

    Semaphore <= 2.6.6 for 4.1.2
    Semaphore >= 2.8.0 for 4.2
    Semaphore >= 3.1.0 for 4.3
    Semaphore >= 3.4.0 for 4.4

    Features

    - Linux kernel 3.0.101
    - LiveOC
    - Custom Voltage
    - Voodoo Sound
    - BLN & CM LED
    - 384MB - 409MB available RAM

    How to use
    Please read How to use Semaphore JB guide for information about the features

    In order to load various modules of the kernel and enable or disable features use Semaphore Manager or use HM.Carbide's Semaphore Script Manager application. It automatically copies and runs the respective scripts from /res/scripts to /system/etc/init.d directory.
    Custom Voltage may be configured with Voltage control or similar applications.

    For more information check the semaphore kernel website: www.semaphore.gr

    For questions or issues about Semaphore Manager please visit this thread

    For questions or issues about Semaphore Script Manager please visit HM.Carbide thread

    Thanks to Superuser, you may download a wonderful custom bootanimation for CM9 from http://www.semaphore.gr/downloads/boot-animations

    Thanks everybody for your words and your support!
    Your huge support and interest about Semaphore makes me want to try even more for something better.

    Maybe it's not obvious, but I'm working hard on this project. Last weeks, I try more to expand my knowledge and contribute to Linux kernel.
    As I said, this may not have immediate affect in Semaphore versions. But I hope for some results in near future.

    Semaphore is here. I'm here. Semaphore will not stop. I will try to contribute to Linux kernel, through this project. Maybe using other device, but with the same goals.

    Thanks again for everything.
