gps works fine in Andy's Phoenix rom....no such behaviour

Coincidentally i've used quite a lot GPS in mik cm7 (used waze a lot) so i can assure you there was absolutely no trouble in it atleast.. was using the stable 6.5.8 version..

Hey popdog...

ur ROM is awesome. but i was just thinking that if u cud incorporate a file manager in the ROM. it helps if u reflashing the ROM and dont have mobile data or wifi available. we can browse backed up apps wid that.

here's a very basic and a very small sized file manager (u can use ur own choice if u think its good thing to incorporate a file manager).

All the Best for future work!

Thnx

Hey, Ozadroid!
On this topic's first page you can read this:

The rom is like this for a reason. So requests like "can you add theme manager?", "can it make me coffee?" will be ignored.

So a file manager will be added if the Oxygen team (which popdog321 is not part of) will decide to do so. He's only porting Oxygen ROM. That means he makes their Android version work on our phone as it is. Nothing added, even if that would be more convenient.

I took the time to say all this to you because popdog321 won't; he will simply ignore your request, as stated above. Enjoy Oxygen!

you can use browser to install your favorite filemanager
like this if you put it on sdcard (via usb) and name like 1.apk
you can run it from default browser
file:///sdcard/1.apk

i don`t like strange app in ROM and install my favorite filemanger

About GPS:
In miks 6.5.8 I had the problem that after a reboot GPS was not working immediately. I had to switch GPS off and on first.
The oxygen problem is not annoying to me because I always keep GPS on.

Data:
In oxygen 2 I have the problem that after using wifi 2G data didn't work. I have to switch to airplane mode and back to have it work again. 2G symbol shows but I get no connection.

Nope, for this v2 it is a proven ROM issue, it is not .35 kernel fault. I get better battery performance from franco or stock kernel with stock rom than with GBS+mik's 6.5.8, how about that? There are people who get nice battery performance, just look at franco's .35 kernel thread, there are a lot of people getting good battery performance - so I think you and the posts you speak of are outdated already, time to move on.
