Is it just me, or is everyone else not getting 4K links? This Youtube video is 4K, and the 4K file is downloadable using TubeMate but only 2K is available with YouTube Downloader:

https://youtu.be/IVx6ZlksMJw

Edit: The 4K file is available as Video Only, I have to manually mux it with a separate audio file (4K video support since v4.8.2).

To see them, enable "secondary streams" from preferences; download a video-only and a compatible audio-only stream, then use the mux function, from the dashboard (clicking on the VO entry); for ref: http://dentex.github.io/blog/2014-01...d-dot-dot-dot/.

Yup, my bad sorry. Maybe you'll add this feature in the future (auto-muxing of VO streams, for the lazy ones like me)? Thanks!

No problem.

About new features... I don't know. I basically stopped the development of this app. Anyway if I would do something, would be the compatibility with N. It seems from various reports that it's not working.

xda_dentex, Just when you thought keeping up with YouTube formatting changes was enough, now you have another moving target: Android N. Well, we all appreciate whatever you can do! Thanks.

I can confirm that it doesn't work on Nexus 6P with Android N.

This is the reason why I'm sticking on 4.4 with my Galaxy S5 G900F.

I would take a look at NewPipe (FOSS, GPLv3)

There are also a number of public and free web sites that use youtube-dl as a backend and work decently well.

YTD is actually the closest thing to youtube-dl on Android, hope to see it back for Nougat or whatever they call it later on maybe.
