in 720p video mode you can switch to frontcam and then back to back camera. There are always these two modes and it depends on the lighting conditions which mode is actually better but in most situations with darker lighting conditions for 720p video recording it's better to use the second mode (after switching to front camera and then back to back camera).

Yes I know, it was an idea of bullsh*t from him, but there must almost be a little bit respect from us to him. I think he does not know how much work and time is used for CM9 - now he hopefully knows. :)

It's a good question, I mean it is part of a working camera.apk so where is your problem ? If it's not working it's a bug and this thread is exactly for this - bugreport ;)

Only was asking because one I saw the funny face option on i9001 and in the most ROMs the camera doesnt have that option.
Well, I liked it, and I think there's nothing wrong.
And yes, I know how much effort has being put and still is put on CM9 (arco, ivendor...), im not a noob.
I have followed this dev thread from few months and never said something that could mean i dont respect the dev's work.
So please dont take me wrong.

Recovery Problem

Umm i dont know where else to post this since arco's recovery doesn't have a thread :( Over the last few months whenever I make a backup and then try to restore I get a md5 mismatch! I have formated my memory twice reflashed it 3-4 times to no avail anyone else have this problem? Any idea how to fox this?

did you try another recovery?

use cwm5 recovery because cwm6 and twrp are very buggy in backup option..

Use TWRP 2.2.1 is bug free :)

I would really like to thank everyone who helped with camera development, but i' m still facing some problems that never occured in gb. First of all, as people said 720p recording laggs like a hell and why can' t it be on full screen instead of only a half? And it' s really hard to make a good photo because they are simply blurred or not sharp.

    instructions:

    1. you will need cm9 by arco68 (alpha build 5) and a ics recovery
    2. wipe dalvik cache
    3. wipe cache
    4. install latest camfix
    5. fix permissions

    Update: Front-camera take picture works.

    Remain:
    -problem with orientation in front camera
    -crash with some settings

    The strange this is, with latest ivendor kernel, front cam is taking photo (the only bugs are fc after 5 photos and 720p video record not working).
    With this kernel phone does not enter deep sleep state,
