I see the transparency slider for the icons, but is there a way to keep the bar solid black? I have looked all through rom control. Im using tablet ui.

ROM control >general UI> transparency settings> then toggle the slider from 0% to 100%.

It caught me out also and I had to ask.

And what about the size, is it possible to make it smaller than stock? Thanks for your help.

Yes you can make it as small as 24dp. 48 dp is the normal height.

Don't spend much time messing with the Nexus firmware. Just flashed 5.1 over 5.0 No issues. Lean Kernel TWRP 2.5. Works fine. I primarily use this on the nightstand watching movies. When the Note 3 comes out hopefully with a 6" screen I won't need the Nexus.

I used a buddies Nexus 7 the other day which is just running stock 4.2.2 unrooted and I couldn't believe the difference between stock and smooth in terms of performance. I only ran stock for about 5 minutes then flashed smoothrom. Im gonna show him my tablet and he will then be convinced to let me root and flash this beast on it.

I am hoping the next release won't be another month because I have on my gs3 running AOKP has the new AOKP ribbons feature which is pretty awesome and would love to see them on this ROM.

Is there a mirror?
The download from Goo.im is ridiculously slow
EDIT:
I myself uploaded a mirror after spending 3 hours downloading it.

Mod edit. The op doesn't allow mirrors. Please respect this

yeah, I am running SmoothRom 5.0 with motley kernel patched for use with multirom. The kernel settings haven't been adjusted or messed with at all, so I guess it's "stock clocks" Would me running some benchmarks help you??

I had already flashed SR 5.1 on multirom, but am just about to update my primary rom (SR 5.0 internal rom) So that's gonna be a few before I have 5.1 up and running & done correctly, but if you still don't have your benchmarks by then, I would be happy to help out. I am going to be running Motley kernel again....patched for multirom. Just let me know if I can be of assistance & when I'm all set up and running again, I'll do that for you.
Cheers,

Dude nobody cares that you after flash so and so with your multirom setup a little too eager to be the cool helpful guy. My guess is you've never produced anything yourself; really just the first one to jump in and say "look isn't that cool, he's my main man" as if you deserve credit for applying a cool theme on your phone. This isn't Facebook I don't care what color your wallpaper is; I read this thread to troubleshoot the ROM that's why it's called 'development'

Ya I know I'm not being the cool guy right now but you're wasting MY time now... :p:thumbdown:

First of all Mr. Not so cool guy nobody was talking to you. Secondly the person that I was talking to was very appreciative to my response. Lastly do you always just troll around and attack people for no reason on days old comments? Get a life.

Aren't you guys breaking thread rules??
This is a forum for developers and the thread is about a ROM, not who's is funny or stupid or who's avatar shows what....
There are many places for this kind of talk.

Your thanks is my inspiration. :)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THANK YOU!!!
Why would a DEV not have a mirror link, does he just want all those hits on his file, or does he just want us to wait 20+ hours for a download if the ONLY link goes down, like it is the days of ****ing dial-up.

This link took 5 minutes to download the file, the goo.im link told me 2 days.

Mod warning

Its down to the developer if they allow mirrors. Please respect this and also the fact that they develop the ROMs in their own time at no cost to you:)

    Installation

If CWM ask you to 'Disable Recovery Flash' after install, select no ! It will remove the files needed for the init.d support.

Please do not restore a 'system' data backup as it would overwritte some important files

    Easy Way

    • Use JROMFlasher (Click here) to wipe your data, flash custom recovery, upload my ROM

    Hard Way

    • Require Custom Recovery
    • Copy the ROM to the root of your SDCard (/sdcard).
      - You can copy/paste it from Windows Explorer.
      - You can download the ROM from your device. It will be generally located in /sdcard/downloads
      - You can use ADB : 'adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/' for Windows and Mac/Linux : './adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/'
    • Boot into Recovery
    • Wipe all cache and userdata
    • Flash the ROM from custom Recovery
