[App] Tweaked Xperia S Home Launcher (Dock and/or Corners) for LDPI - v5.1, 04/05/12

Here is my Xperia Home FIFTH version for x10 Mini/Pro QVGA (LDPI) devices. It was ripped from Xperia S version 2.2.A.0.14, see image:



This version is full compatible only with Gingerbread (API Level 10) and Ice Cream Sandwich (API Level 14), but works with some FC on Froyo (API Level 8). It does not work on Eclair (API Level 7).

I have made some tweaks like:

v5 and v5.1 (04/05/12):
- New Xperia Home preferences screen (a very special thanks to ra3al for helping me)
- New dialog "Xperia Home" item to start preferences screen
- New menu "Xperia Home" item to start preferences screen
- Select between 1 to 11 home screens (panes)
- Enable/disable wallpaper scrolling
- Select home button action: Go to Default Home Screen or Open/Close App Drawer
- Enable/disable automatic screen orientation
- Enable/disable going to first pane when opening the app drawer
- Fixed fourth "Dock with Top Corners" row to receive icons/widgets in all cells
- Russian screen preferences translations (thanks himasura)
- Indonesian screen preferences translations (thanks Black_jackss)
- German screen preferences translations (thanks switcher)
- Greek screen preferences translations (thanks T3sla)
- Serbian screen preferences translations (thanks Theonewithideas)
- Spanish screen preferences translations (thanks Svartehjerte)
- Portuguese brazilian and English screen preferences translations (thanks me)
- 3 desktop rows layout
- Home restarts now will be for each preference (if needed)
- Enable/disable desktop screen indicators
- Dock icons with labels (single line)
- Fixed widgets layout sizes in landscape
- ICS Square folder
- Fixed desktop icons labels alignment
- Hungarian screen preferences translations (thanks gyeben)
- Vietnamese screen preferences translations (thanks kulroyal)
- Fixed some Russian screen preferences translations (thanks himasura)

- Screen Orientation Support (Landscape on x10 Mini) < REPORTED THAT IT DOES NOT WORK
- New Square and Transparent Folder Style (Like Square ICS)
- Full Alpha 150 Background for App Drawer
- Full Alpha 100 Backgrounds for Expanded Corners and Folders
- New App Drawer/Desktop Zoom Animations

I've tested it on:
- Android Emulator 2.3.3 QVGA (LDPI).
I have made for x10 Mini/Pro, not tested with other devices (tell me if it works).

Installation instructions for v5.1:

Before you install it, you must install in your system two dependencies files, see imgs:

and

If you have some "com.sonyericsson.home" installed, you must uninstall it.

1 - Download the attached System_Pre_Reqs.rar and extract it´s contents on your computer
2 - With Root Explorer put the two files in their respective /system folders with proper permissions (see imgs above)
3 - Reboot your phone
4 - Download attached v5.1_???_Home.apk and put it on your sdcard
5 - Download attached v5.1_Home_Preferences.apk and put it on your sdcard
6 - Install both as normal apk
7 - Enjoy !


If you still are on Eclair 2.1, download the attached .zip with v3.2 compatibles apks inside and install as normal apk.

I have made a new version of this launcher, but for now, only for mdpi (Xperia Mini ST15a/i) take a look:

Now, I am working on port it to ldpi (X10 Mini/Pro), and soon it will be available here as v5.

For all my X10 mini friends...

v5 is about to be released, with new functions and some improvements. Everything now will be choosed with a preference screen, like number of home screens, auto-rotation, corners and app drawer transparency, icons with or without labels and some others too...

Now based version is from Xperia S rom.

I'm working now for smaller corners (real smaller, not margin trick) and their transparency about 70%. I'll update this soon. I'm gonna try port for 2.1 too. Thanks for replies !
