Found the issue with Google Now. Devil's gapps zip has a folder called /data/apps in it. This should be /data/app I believe
Ok, just moving all apk's from /data/apps to /data/app didn't work completely.
The Velvet.apk file needs to be moved to /system/app, then Google Now will work again.
Right i didn't notice the "S" .rename the folder to app and re package it then flash it, it should be work
Me too, I can't access it. Which phone are you using?
Try installing galaxy s settings apk.
Edit: App is there but not syncing to settings for me.

Did you do the edit on gapps? If so then you might have to change to keyboard in language input.

Works great.
Had to use TitaniumBackup to get GMail working, though ... didn't see it after flashing GAPPS, even after adding my google account.
superuser didnt work, but the su fix (SuperSU) from a few pages ago helped.
Oh, and a small hint to everyone: Do not delete the Google Gallery (personally, I usually dont use it as I prefer "QuickPic"), as this will also remove the camera ...
All in all: Thnx a lot Teufel, great work, this rom is really usable in day to day life! Fetter Respekt!!

I did a clean install but my datadata partition is empty. Only lost+found directory in there and over 160mb free. How did this happen? Is this only happening to me?
I restored some apps with titanium and others I installed from Play Store.
Addon: I have just uninstalled instagram, that I had installed from Titanium and then reinstalled from Play Store, logged in and browsed for a bit. Instagram stores a big cache in datadata but again after all this my datadata partition is empty. I guess this rom has datadata but isn't using it? Maybe it's a bug?

coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash gapps
if you are coming from a previous version, older than 08/28 your data will get wiped due to new partition layout!

- rom slimmed down and gapps/su fix included (thx to bhu1)
- replaced ear.apk with one supposed to work (user report)
- replaced hw composer with the one from nexus s (this is the jb one, old release was using ics hw composer)
- fixed recording of 720p (upstream fix to media_profiles.xml

- wipe (coming from previous version, you also can try flashing without wipe, and wipe only, if you are facing issues)

Had to clean my build folder. Wifi working now, after clean rebuild. I am trying to fix the other small issues, and upload the fixed version tomorrow morning... Compiling clean is taking many hours on my old computer...
